Samsung Galaxy S25 FE might get a more exciting chipset after all

10 May 2025
It was initially rumored to sport the same exact SoC as its predecessor.

The S24 FE was already outdated for the price, if they go with the same chipset surely it will be cheaper at least.

The best chipset option for the S25 FE in my opinion would be the 7 core Snapdragon 8 Elite, that would make the most sense for it, but the Dimensity 9400(e) isn't bad either, the Exynos 2400e again would just be plain awful.

HyperionBurn, 14 hours agohonestly wild what they did to the fe series s20 fe was on... moreI would say S21FE 5G was even better. I had a S20FE and my gf has a S21FE which she still uses. Her phone is way better, battery life much better and it doesn't often run hot like S20FE. The next FE phones were just dummy.
Value for money is no more a concept available to us the users, not even from Chinese vendors. Chinese phones are significantly more expensive now compared to few years back.

      Great !
But why not the 9400+ ?

Samsung finally came back to their senses🙏

Even snapdragon 8s gen 3 or 8s gen 4 could be better

Meaning in the intetnational market or rather for the rest of the places, its using an Exynos 2200. I know because I have one.

Which is a whole lot worse.

Well if they only change the chip then the price should go down something like 30-40% right?

                      Please use Dimensity 9400 or even a SD chip 8s Gen 3/ SD 8 Gen3 not Eynos 2400e .....

Cah Nglayab, 15 hours agoIt's indeed better be Dimensity 9400. As the Exynos 24... moreBezels needs to be on the level of S25+. Bezels are high on S24 FE. Not acceptable. Rest everything is okay for me.

I wouldn't mind either SoC. The 2400 is a pretty good SoC, and OneUI7 actually improves its standby battery life (at least on the S24 series that we observed). What I'm more concerned is the bulkiness of the device. I really hope Samsung uses a different ODM.

Dimensity-Powered Galaxy S FE and Tab S is rare.

Dimensity-Powered Galaxy is peak with One UI 8 without overadvertised bloatware.

s20 fe was one of the best value sammy phones ever made
now the s25fe, coming with a year old cut down sub par flagship soc for the price of an s25?
they did the same thing with the s23fe, using the old 8 gen 1

It's indeed better be Dimensity 9400. As the Exynos 2400e is not even on par with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Dimensity 9300/9300+. Also, if we take a look at the Galaxy S25 and S25+, it's very unlikely that the S25 FE will receive significant upgrade besides perhaps the chipset if they indeed choose the MediaTek.

Samsung foundry needs to be competitive.

unlikely, samsung never uses mediatek chips in higher end phones, it's either exynos or snapdragon

yes after that will still use tiny 8MP 1/4.4" tele.. Better have than nothing, but could do better as this phone is not cheap.
