        Completely useless device, this thing will barely hold a charge as it will be overpowered for how small of a battery it will have. The EU should rule this and the Edge out of the market due to insufficient battery sizes that won't be good enough for long-term usage.

              I read an interesting comment that the battery life isn’t so important in the US because everyone drives and charges their phone multiple times a day as they drive. Whereas we global peasants often take public transport so we do need decent battery life!

                This capacity will be for the first 6 months. After that, it drops to 1800 mAh and to use the full capacity, you will have to pay a monthly fee.
                Air and Edge are a pure and simple waste of resources.

                    Wow, the profiteering here is ridiculous. Con people into buying phones with small batteries and then sell them battery cases that increase the size and weight back to where they started. Wonder if Samsung will do the same.

Apple has assess to tech, but seems like supply chain is not mature enough for a company selling millions of these mobiles

                              Well, really hope this was not the case.
                              3000mAh is not even usable for modern iPhone (eg the iPhone SE3). Even less than that with a larger screen and more powerful SoC? Yeah no.

                              I welcome thinner and lighter smartphones, but we cannot go backwards on battery life. There will be no AI mumbo jumbo that can save anything.

                              Is this Apple's way to go after those digital detox crowd? "Hey we know you want digital detox, so we give you an iPhone with such small battery that you wouldn't want to use it unless it's necessary.' 😅

                                unlike some chinese flagship phones already used sic 6000mah or more, even in slim phone or small sized phone.
