It only captures more light but less overall details than the competition. Ultrapixel is a gimmick, otherwise dslrs or good digital cameras will stick with 4 to 8mp instead.

Ok so why is everyone getting bent out of shape for something that leaked out of China? Also, who says the SD600 is a bad chipset. Also, if one more person says "it should have 3GB RAM". For the last time, Samsung is the only company with that particular memory unit, and I'm sure they wont sell it until sometime next year.

Now, the 16GB of internal storage is somewhat a let down. Not completely, but only because the Nexus 4 does fine with it. $800 is what makes the 16GB a terrible decision.

At the end of the day though, this is just a China bred rumor that until I see the actual product, is just that.......a rumor.

Here, the DSLR is HTC One, and the Digital Camera is other competitive smartphones, with Megapixel gimmick.

hhh, 16 Sep 2013actually it has either a snapdragon 800 or 900If HTC were to come down off their pedestal and actually tell us about it officially, we could then make informed decisions. When it comes to Sept. 25 if they have not even announced it, why am I not going to get a Note 3, potentially he Oppo N1, assuming it is announced on the 23rd, as promsied, or the Ultra Z, when HTC cannot even be bothered about it. 3 phones, at least two of which will be available immediately, or shall I wait for still just vague rumors of a phone that could be inferior and potentially even cancelled? HTC really need to step up to the game here. If they can bare to condescend and come down off their aloof pedestal and tell us about it of course!

AnonD-187397, 17 Sep 2013It's a shame to use the same processor used in the HTC One ... moreI'm also thinking if HTC went to Mediatek for its processors??? If that be the case, the processor used is going to be the MT6592 - an 8 core blazing fast processor ready to take on android 5.... wishful thinking.... let' see....

Hmmm, so "one maxx" is just a larger version of htc one.. Maybe there is another htc's flagship with s800? However, this news still not official..

It's a shame to use the same processor used in the HTC One for reasons as cost cutting.... But given the fact that the one has good processing speeds, the device might hold up as a good performer. But while the competition is moving forward with 2.3Ghz, the phone might not have a good performance benchmark test results with Note 3 or the Z Ultra - Graphics might also lag behind with the 320 against the 330!!!! Hope HTC is making a calculated move here....

It is a 4 mp camera where each pixel is just extra large to capturemore light. They call it ultra pixel as a marketing gimmick but it's still 4 mp bro

There is no ultra pixel, thats a gimmick from htc, you still get 4mp camera but with better low lighting and some improvements that is why it is called 4MP UltraPixel

That is a deal breaker for me if it doesnt. Would never buy a phone without a removable battery.

Anonymous, 16 Sep 2013snapdragon 600? No thanks. If this is true about using snapdragon 600 instead of the 800 like the note III and only a 4mp camera. I will save my money. What was going to be a front runner against samsung is now lagging behind. I would rather have my note II. They should have gotten a string with 2 cans.I would have been more impressed. Well looks like nothing gets my money this year. Maybe next year someone will do something impressive.

I think it will definitely lose in competition with galaxy note 3 just because of 600 snapdragon chipset.
