The new photos stack up the One Max against the Galaxy Note III and also show an AnTuTu 4 benchmark.

It has Nokia Tech inside. Microphone, wireless, usb patents. And HTC failed to pay for its licenses. HTC is going bankrupt.

my guess is HTC already has these devices in production, it is too late to change specs. the best thing they can do now is make the price attractive, since it has mid-range specs and doesn't have stuff that other companies (cough, Samsung, Sony, cough) have. Otherwise this will be a giant mistake... #Parlotones

If they price this lower than the competition, they could see some good sales numbers. If they don't, it will probably be DOA for all but the die-hard fans.

i think they should withdraw the 4mp ultra pixel camera and put in either a 8mp ultra pixel or a normal 13mp camera just like their competitors.. S600 is not an issue..

The Max will be a loser if comes out with Snapdragon 600 instead of 800.
All other competitions have gone to the Snapdragon 800 and HTC will lose even before it will be born!

dual sim huh? looks like it could be plausible. it may also be the module for that thing that looks like a fingerprint scanner, or it could be for NFC

                      Another fiasco for htc!!

this device will most probably come with a Snapdragon 800 chipset.
Pity it doesn't have a stylus and features that would go with it.
That is kinda what makes the Note series so special and cool.

so this is the new competitor for phablet class like note 3 and z ultra..

i wonder why HTC delays the big screen version of there phone, i have been HTC product fans for many years. waiting for the release of a bigger screen apart from the two previous one they produced, here in Nigeria we like a bigger screen mobile phone like 5 to 7 inch screen and almost everybody knows HTC is the best but other product are getting our attention with a bigger screen phone, so am happy to here about the one max. waiting for the release

Wow, you know I swore samsung was going to rock the industry with a revolutionary product. Then they took a phone that was headed to the top, then backed off and now people are turning away. Now we are all looking for a phone that samsung did not want to manufacture. We all thought WOW look at HTC. A true world class manufacturer that knows what customers really want and is right there when samsung dropped the ball. I could not wait to drop samsung and rush down to to sprint to get a one max. So if you choose to use the snapdragon 600 and a sealed battery (like iphone does. That's why I dropped iphone). Then I will have no choice but to find a company that will deliver.
I don't even mind the 4 mp camera. (Even tho that would suck) so think about what do you want. Higher profits and great reputation or settle for low profits and soiled reputation. I now have been looking at acer Liquid S2. Hopefully this manufacturer dont drop the ball. Or I will have to wait til next Year.

What is the use of removable back cover without the need of changing the battery?

HTC... if you do this, it's the final straw. I have been with you since 2002 (HTC Canary). I have had almost every  type of your phone's. Even the rare ones (HTC Universal, HTC Advantage X7501). I  soared with you on your good times struggled with you in your bad times. You're just not watching the market. Everyone is progressing and you are taking tiny steps forward, then three steps sideways. You need to wow your customers again. Not give them an almost perfect product, then take one dicey step with it, and jack it over ( i.e. no memory expansion,  ) . Now you're putting midrange processors into flagship phones. Get real. I love you guys  to death and have ultimate respect for you being the real company to truly bring us the smartphone (no it wasn't Apple that did it first). Please give us something to brag about and make the market know that you know how to make phones. You've  done it before. Get to work. The One was a great step in the right direction, forward... take another step forward, not sideways.

I really hope this will be only for China otherwise it will have no chance against Note3 if it really comes with SD600. The device looks great with a bit minimised bezels so it would be so stupid to soil all this with an outdated chipset.

Come on HTC! This is your chance to get back. Just put the SD800 and make an 8-ultrapixel cam together with a micro SD expansion and you will blow other competitors away!!
