Early adopters tend to be up on tech, and will naturally see the $100 difference between the 5c and 5s as minimal over a two year contract. What's that work out to? $4/month? Pocket change considering what you get.
BUT ... for average Joes coming in wanting to look at an iPhone? Espeically if in the past he just didn't want to pay that much?
The $100 may make a difference. If he doesn't take that many pictures with his phone and he doesn't care about the fingerprint sensor, he may just opt for the cheaper phone.
After all, it's worked well in pushing up Android and Windows Phone numbers.

Ip5c is almost flop..ip5s is also outdated phone...so after 2 3 months demand will go down by half or may be 60 65 percent against todays demand rate...ip5 is selling on just name n previous user friendliness with their old ip..an'd too many old user also switch to android! ....s5 will beat or equal these preorders no. Of ip5s which are 6 to 7 million...

It's good to see Apple holding a ground on mobile phone industry, coz it will somehow shake the competition and others will strive harder for cheaper alternatives.

Most of the people do not go to websites like GSMarena...., they just do not know what they are buying. What they know is a new phone is released, and they are eagering to have it. This is what the ordinary people will act.

weren't they pre-selling the iphone 5c a week before? what's the sales figure for that? or that's included in the 9M already? they were unusually quiet on that weekend.
sold out goes both ways. either you really sold a LOT of phones or you have limited stocks. then again it was reported before the weekend that the 5s will have limited inventory. so there you go.
