But on smoothness, windows phone and iphone wins hands down. maybe androids philosophy is looks is no match for brains and grunt.

AnonD-189999, 24 Sep 2013It is one thing as every user know, Apple's 1ghz processer ... moreIt wasn't really like that, ios is smooth because its quite a lightweight program, and the processor is tailored for specific needs. Android on the other hand needs raw power. single core is still a single core (by speed) at best as it utilize the same instruction set. how its utilized are another thing.

Rolando, 24 Sep 2013The GPU in charge is the quad-core PowerVR (Series 6) G6430... morelol cross-platform benchmark test mean shit...
plus iphone has lower resolution screen compared to 1080p and not to forget one app running at a time while other apps freeze in background make the iphone feel smooth.... so benchmarks would be higher...

First off, I like apple products and even own a few, so this is in no way a bash...but I think the reason Apple products perform so well is because of their simplicity... and consequently their restriction to user capabilities. I don't feel as though I'm in the same CONTROL of apple products as I do with their competitor Android. Sure, Apple's operate smooth as butter, and always perform well. But when it comes down to flexibility and options, i can't help but admit Android always seems to be the better choice. I love Apples consistency, but I have way more control (and satisfaction) with Android TBH.

AnonD-111717, 24 Sep 2013oh please you do know it's not the same like on PC, right?
... morewell multi-tasking is very advantageous....
I do it all the time on my note 2 with split window....
but you are right since a loser 4 inch iphone doesnt give much space for multi-tasking....or even better ...it lags when trying to implement multi-tasking.

Apple is the Master (Designed... moreNot really caught by surprise, if someone fabless handed u the design for u to fabricate, pretty much u already know whats coming. Designing u'r own that's a different story all together, u can always outsource the technology if u want to. If it uses common manufacturing techniques its much more easier.

The reason is, ios is a very light os compared to Android. M sure ios would be same as Android if it was like it. As of now, ios=a big engine in a small body. Android=big engine in a big body.

AnonD-190025, 24 Sep 2013You do realise it's not a true octacore? Have you even seen... moreyou should read the comments by common sensi which explain it all.
Apple say one thing and testing shows another.
GSMARENA were quoting 1.7GHz Dual Core that put it ahead of the BB Z10 1.5GHz Dual Core so it matched the S4 Mini now it comes in @ 1.3GHz.
I know I did not give GSNARENA THE 1.7GHz figure.
So 364 days later a fingerprint scanner the A7 chip and a bigger battery.. ooops and in GOLD
How Much

Common Sensi, 24 Sep 2013Oh give me a break? "eats benchmarks for breakfast&quo... moreUhmmm no. LOL at your engine comparisions.
Android is like the old engines where raw power was needed to drive the car fast. You put more cc and the car goes faster.
iOS is like the newer engines which are nicely optimised and a 2.0 litre engine would be enough for the car to go as fast as a 3.5 litre engine on old cars.
iOS is much better in terms of efficiency and optimisation. You cant deny it unless you hate apple or you are just delusional.
PS : I am using the HTC One which i bought after selling my 4s. So i have used both and i know it and i currently use android.

You do realise it's not a true octacore? Have you even seen the benchmarks? a7 chip slaughters your samsung's octacore. All samsung phones lag. PERIOD.
People saying a7 is by samsung. They just manufacture it using apple's designs. They are nothing more then what foxconn is to apple. They make stuff as apple tells them to.

I am honestly surprised that Apple is able to push out that much speed and power under a dual core 1.3ghz with 1gig ram. This goes to show that they truly mastered the technology to be honest with you the speed of the 5s is up to par with the speed for the s4 and htc one.

AnonD-172491, 24 Sep 2013Apple should put Samsung Inside stamp to every iPHONE 5S. L... moreNo, they should stamp it with ARM inside. Samsung is a glorified Foxconn. Apple throws them some directions and they follow the orders.

Anonymous, 24 Sep 2013First of that 64bit chip-set is made using samsung's 28nm g... moreNot 100% accurate, the processor itself is 64 bit meaning it's capable of much more. There isn't a phone on the planet with 4GB of ram so why do you think they opted for it? It's not like you can upgrade the modules on the phone is it?
