The reason the iPhone is a big seller at every release is that Apple create a fake supply problem giving the impression that they can not meet demand, thus causing a frenzied customer buy up of any units they can get their hands on because of the false uncertainty (created by Apple) that they (the customer) may not be able to get a unit if they delay. So it's just marketing FUD.

yeah, 04 Oct 2013these are just sale #s from the United States, not worldwide. I know, but this one guy said 80% of apple sales comes from US. When actually these new iPhones sold more in china than US. Very good news for apple because china is now top of the most important markets among US.

Huge grow in webtraffic for iPhone in china after launch and android went down.
Easy to see that most of record sales for new iPhones actually came from china.

i misunderstood "in just 10 days, the newest IPhone has outsold Samsung's Galaxy S4". Its understood as if it has sold more than the S4's entire lifespan.
