Correction...the little known or talk about Nokia 6270 has the best sound quality on a mobile phone up to date.its stereo speakers quality is also the best.It was release in 2006.Just a bit of info:

About the n96 sound, you obviously havent heard of its sound. It is awesome. It comes quite close to i8510 plus it also has some less obvious advantages over i8510.
You are just hating. The n97 is 'multimedia unleashed' and currently no other phone can match it.

oooh, look, it's a new nokia touch phone. Wow, nice specs, fancy design and the ever-present, sluggish s60 UI!!!!!!! When will we ever see a truly touch, fluid user interface that could compete with OSX mobile, on a usability perspective, all funtinality differences aside?????

o.k. i wanted a x1, then a nokia n82,a month a ago the n79 came out, should i wait for this piece? or choose something elso? It looks ok, but not that 5mp,look at Samsung and Sony ericsson bammm 8mp, whatever

i am really happy 2 see the n 97..i am a nokia freek....nokia is good in everything except his designs..rt now i am using e-90..then fully loaded n 97 really hats of to nokia..waiting eagerly 2 buy n-97 insha allah..

does any one remember? The ROKR E7 ?its the Motorolas linux Iphone, just hold ur breath its soon gonna b released.in Q3 2009 all the specs mentioned before plus a trackball for the D-pad and 3.2inch VGA screen. COME ON MOTO its Linux time.

guys lets just wait until microsoft comes out with zune phone.
iphone deff set a bar for cool devices. i like nokia alot, but next year we will see alot of units that will blow our minds. iphone is wack compare to all these new units. windows mobile needs to go its very boring and slow. android is nice but young and not fully developed(i have g1+n82). lets wait until feb. alot of new units, just wait.

Very impressive.
It's like they've looked on all the other touch handhelds and said "How to make something even better than those?"
Only bad thing is that I think it looks kind of boring. Both the OS and the hardware.
The design is a very conventional touch phone design with iPhone-ish sleek looks.
I prefer the look of the Xperia X1 over this one but the X1 is slow and has some other issues that this phone seems to be without.
Only time will tell which one is the more preferable one I guess.

Anonymous, 02 Dec 2008htc has far far far better features than NOKIA and a better... moremaybe HTC have more connectivity options than Nokia (but the multimedia and performance is entirely own to Nokia than none other )but it give the UI experence like Nokia you know HTC is like Martin Scorsese films slow and dramtic catchy only if you are great film lover where else Nokia is like Stephen Spelberg films wacted by millons .

N97 is not open yet. Let the review come - If it has good music quality, it's worth it @ that price.
See N96 for example- 16 GB Memory, but trash of a sound quality for the high end!! Why would you want a Nokia, when we got INNOV8 at better price... Why reasonable dude, Why?
N91 created a storm by itself, and these newer kids - these N95, N73, all cannot match N91 in it's job ... the music!

[deleted post]yea homie, just cause other phones now have 3 more mp's they got alotta attitude now, hey LG, SE, Samsung, and all the rest the N97 has more specs than your flagship touch.. overall! X1 3.2 camp and winmo...they messed up the winmo part. Pixon and Inovate ...only thing is 3 more mp's do X1 or Pixon or Inovate have 32 GB?? 3.5inch screen..???

They dont co... moreThink saying the HTC HD doesnt stand a chance is a bit of an overstatement -- it'll be a close race with Nokia probably edging it because they are better with marketing their products than HTC but as far as specs go I think the HD is just as good if not better than this phone, just my opinion. Think if HTC bring out an HD Pro as someone mentioned in previous comments that'll blow this device out of the water no problem.
