This would have been good if it was 2010 :D
Microsoft is just damn selfish, they want to do like Apple, but they forget when apple "blew" there was little or no competition. Thank God for Android :)

Still no USB support for direct connection to Outlook and still has a phone book and messaging that looks like it was designed by a social media obsessed village idiot. In short, there is absolutely nothing useful here fot the business user.

Anonymous, 14 Oct 2013no Nokia can not hear you because Nokia is gone ...
Nokia is not gone yet. The shareholders can reject the Microsoft offer. IF they're smart, that's what they'll do.
Nokia has turned around and Microsoft needs Nokia more than Nokia needs Microsoft. Their Asha 501 is selling very well in Asia and there are 2 successors to that phone scheduled to be released soon, as most everyone knows they have a Android model ready for the market and Lumia phones are doing fine.

GSMarena - Do you not know the history of Microsoft's Mobile platform? Nothing is certain. I would think they won't upgrade the HTC phones since they've made their Nokia bid. Stay tuned.
Quad-core and 1080p support - just in time (one year later) ;)
Better bluetooth support is also said to be in this release. That's a relief, as I couldn't see how it could have been any worse.
Now if they'd only put a forward/backward button on their WP Internet Explorer app like they have on the PC version, put the file manager back and allow you to save media files directly from e-mail instead of forcing you to save them on a pc first and then sync to the phone you'd be saying something...

....what's that? It's in the next version? Surrrrre it is.

"We're yet to find out specifics about device update eligibility"
This is no android or iOS
Every WP8 device will get it, unless we're talking of carrier-specific devices

They are bringing to windows phone ancient features available in Symbian, very needed indeed.
That's why Microsoft buys Nokia...
