Android is failing big time on mini devices.
Even the Z1 mini is bigger than the iphone but i would get one if it arrives before christmas.

      Off course it can't sales.

Making a mini edition do attract people love smaller size phone, but not mini edition with big cut down in specification. This just won't work.

Samsung S4 MINI has very good specifications. It is a Perfect Phone with Ideal size to carry around but the sales of S4 Mini have suffered simply on account of one Serious Issue that has cropped up in their Dual Sim Version GT-I9192. The issue is of NETWORK Drop.

AnonD-46153, 15 Oct 2013xperia z1 mini is the only proper mini... That will be rubbish just like the Z1 is in battery life. The rest of the specs are useless if you cant use the thing long enough.

Want better sales, slash the price by 40% and I would be buying 2 pieces for my 2 sons.
At $580 in Singapore in dealer shops, more at telcos, who would wanna buy?
S4 is priced at $735 while S3 is $500. Only an idiot would pay $580 for this. Samsung your pricing lately had been a mess.

And not to mention the faulty dual sim model (Samsung I9192)...
No wonder its a flop phone!!!

PERFECTLY POINTED OUT: "the Galaxy S4 mini has been doing poorly with lackluster sales. This can be blamed on the average specifications of the device and the high price".

                              Not surprising, it's over priced.

Correction: in my country's shops, SGS4 mini sells for 25% MORE than SGS3 full-sized.
So its a better deal all-around to get SGS3 over SGS4.

I've been willing to purchase myself that SGS4 mini (my experience with Xiaomi hasn't been all flowers and unicorns, and they failed to mail me M2S-32 because of holidays, so I took the refund), but that didn't go through:
camera is mediocre, worse than that on SGS3, screen resolution is pretty low by today's standards, haptic feedback is missing, there is no notification LED and best of all - battery that can drain half of charge overnight if you insert a microSD card (popular issue, you can re-flash the phone with custom firmware to make it go away, but you'd lose warranty).
I just can't understand why I have to pay so much for it. I can get a better in every aspect Xiaomi M2S with 32gb built-in storage, 13mp camera, superior hardware and screen (higher resolution) at a 20% lower price (!!!). My issue with Xiaomi is low stability of software (firmware). Small issues here and there. Annoying, I just want to set it up once and then just use it.

Most of Samsungs recent launches are flopping. Mega 5.8&6.3, note3, s4 mini, trend, young, pocket neo, s4 zoom and the worst galaxy gear. Barring core n s4.

First 7 inch table. First 5 inch phablet. First with multi-window support on Android (on Note 3). If you get a proper demo of Note 3 it is seriously amazing and more like a desktop. Apple started copying with the iPad Mini (we need a small tablet as well!) and also with parts of IOS 7. We need pull down notifications, just like Android! We need flat icons just like Winphone 8! Basically, they *all* borrow ideas from each other and improve on it. That's the way of the world.

I am not surprise that most people prefer s3 over new s4 mini. Thats the problem with samsung they tend to over price new products for mid-range product. Sorry samsung but most consumer are not that big spender most people looking for alternative and budget friendly phone.
