Greed knows no limit. Just because some of their utterly disgusting cheap plastic models got sold, doesn't mean every single model released will have the same sales volume. Stop ripping off others patents and passing them as you own, instead try to innovate something

I have an S4 Mini and am really happy with it. Lacklustre specification? Possibly. I was looking for a HD screen - but the QhD screen on the S4 mini is very crisp and compares favourably in a side by side test with the S4. The S3 is good - but it is *big*. So not a case of one or the other. If I was going for an S3, I'd rather go for an S4. Also, the S3 screen is pentile. If you factor in the lower resolution on the S4 mini, there is not a lot of difference. The unit is light (107 gm) and feels great. It plays full HD videos with no lag so, for me, it is the perfect handset. Hopefully, the S5 mini will have a HD screen. I paid 348 British pounds so a reasonable price. Overall, I am very happy with the handset especially as you can change the battery and add an SD card. Hurrah!

Market saturation has got to be a contributing factor, surely. Well, every time some ones blinks Samsung release a new/slightly changed model, And what with all the other manufactures tempting potential customers with their latest and greatest or reduced sized flagships, the customer can begin to get confused or disorientated with the choices on offer. That's without even bringing the purchase cost into the equation. Choice is good, but too much choice can have an undesirable effect, especially on sales.

You do know that Htc one mini is even more expensive than S4 mini both having lesser capabilities than most of mid ranged phones but with the premium asking price of a flagship.

Bottom line here is because it's not a very good phone for the price drop, much better choice to not be a cheap so and so and just get the proper S4 or even one of it's rivals.

The S3 mini was even worse in comparison to the flagship device.

The only mini worth a shot is the One mini because the OS doesn't need that much grunt.
