Usually in movies the "comic relief" characters are much cheaper than the main cast. But here it is just the other way around. The main cast being Sony Ericsson and Samsung, the comic relief Vertu costs 1000 times than those.
And I totally agree to the comments posted about the dark side of capitalism, i.e, increasing the polarity difference between the rich and the famished. This is not a thing for people who convert their education/skills/sweat into money. Then the potential buyers -- who'd that be? Reminds me of the drug-lord characters portrayed in the movies like Traffic, Clear and Present Danger, The Untouchables, Lord of War.
One thing is for sure, this is definitely giving the regular GSMArena visitors a laughter million times dearer than the Vertu itself. My HEARTY and sincere thanks to GSMArena team. Nice indeed!

Seriously? They only manufactured a single unit?
Then, is it for sale? Or meant to be on display in their office, as the emblem of their 150th anniversary?

cool consept but it would be heavy as hell and if you had to send it away for repair you would probably never see it again haha. atleast if its a bad phone you can always melt it down
