Rumor morphing into headline, Palm continue to claw their way into the spotlight. The build-up to CES (January 8 - 11, 2009) is well under way, as Business Week looks quite in-depth at troubled but keen to bounce back Palm. They are...

I've always liked the Treos. I used to have the 650 and I missed it terribly when I gave it away to my sister. The only thing that I didn't like about it is its lack of pizazz. For me, it has the best calendar integration. Really topnotch. Even its UI is very solid. I have the iphone now, but if Palm could come up with a more interesting interface, I would definitely consider it. I also like its keyboard. I think it has one of the best qwerty keyboards out there. I'm hoping for a bigger screen. At least 3.0, a glass display with capacitive touch, at least 3 megapixel camera with flash and 30fps video recording in vga quality. Good luck Palm, and I wish you the best =)

                          This is waaaaay overdue.
The current Palm OS is so dated it looks really embarrassing on the Centro.
The new OS better be good.

Can't wait for CES 0, 15 Dec 2008wow palm are coming up with their own OS, thats quite a ris... moreI think the smartfone market will change in 2009 anyway,,the xperia,,android, and now nova will still be early devices in the first quarter..And i mean these devices platforms because of the way xperia has lightened up windows along with spb shell,,android is still early days with more devices on way plus palm have been wanting to bring "Their" own platform into the 21st century...Apple will probably release i-phone 3 which could throw a big spanner in the works if it upgrades to all that is missing and ups the cam/vid it could be the ultimate smartfone.. CES is brilliant and 2009 should bring a new load of hype to the smartfone industry which no one believes until the summer when the devices come available.

wow palm are coming up with their own OS, thats quite a risk and an even bigger challenge these days with all the prominent OS's starting to burn up the weak with Uiq being the first and the economic crysis... i'd say they gotta bring it good and deliver with on all fronts Business and Multimedia which is exactly what they said now thats a good start but with all the Rivals taken shape they should expect a dumpy ride...

Just anther note, i still got a Palm Vx lying around which i got in 2001 its just a palm top, black and white screen however in the box they gave me a report on Palm's os and it states that it owns 43% of the whole mobile OS market... back than there were no such things as Pocket PC phones so Palm went from being on top to starting from scratch... now thats pretty messed up... just another example to add to the list with Uiq, Possibly WinMo as this is what happens when you savoy to far form the consumers interests

Buts good to see Palm fighting back....

I tried palmos but not liked it. Is too complicated to do simple things. I prefer the interface in MOTORAZOR (King of Phones!)
