Anonymous, 25 Oct 201340 million divided by how many variants?40 million is still 40 million, but if you actually want to know, about 6, depending on what you consider a variant. But that's besides the point. Samsung has posted record profits AGAIN. This quarter, Samsung made about 9.5 BILLION in net profit. Let's take a look at their competitor, shall we? Apple made 6.9 billion in net profit, but wait, that's DOWN from their previous years quarter, by 1.9 billion dollars (that's bad), and that's not accounting for the inflation. If you actually care to know, that means Samsung (who's apparently getting desperate, or something) made 2.5 billion MORE than Apple. So please, retract your previous statement, as it makes no sense whatsoever.

If you don't believe me, look at my sources.

I still avnt seen d use of putting more rams and higher chipset into these fones when my old 1 gig laptop performs faster and better than Samsung S4.... WHAT'S THE FREAKING USE. . I GIVE KUDOS TO APPLE FOR ACTUALLY DEVELOPING RATHER THAN MINDLESSLY RUNNING...and am not buying s5 cos Apple will just bring out another dual core dat will trash its octa core. .. AGAIN!!!

Really, 25 Oct 2013I see a lot of Android fanboys piping up on here about the ... morethe only reason why there is an assumption that apple's iphone 5s is as fast or possibly faster than an exynos soc with 3 gb ram is because the iOS system is a one trick pony. I mean if you packed half the features of a note 3 or even 2 on an iPhone, it'd be a total different story. Even iOS 7 has its flaws and from what I see its just a minor face lift and some extensive animations being added to the os.

First they should produced memory chips which had repeating pattern and are easier to test new lithography process.Thats even Intel hasn't doing yet.And are way ahead of TSMC and GloFo let alone Samsung.
Keep your expectation in check...otherwise you might be disappointed ;)

if these rumors come true samsung will be made best move of recent times. Moved from 28nm to 14nm is a huge jump, even Intel couldn't produce stable finfets yet and postpone to relase to 2014Q1. I hope S5 launched in January 14 and have 14nm architecture. If Intel can be release own 14nm SoCs in same time it will be amazing.

Android aint even 64bit. So unless KitKat bring 64 bit support, a 64bit hardware is useless.
They just want to put it in their phone coz some other company especially apple did it.

The (than) Windows XP worked flawlessly on it with 32bit binaries.
Even today many(or most) programs use 32bit binaries.
Thats the problem.... this new trend of 64bit OS 64bit apps is just another "marketing gimmick" to lure costumers.Win XP (2002)although desktop and x86 OS is still light years ahead of mobile OSes of today.
Its not the hardware.... its the poor Java virtual machines which is problem i.e.Android in first place. And that couldnt be solved just with more RAM more power.

Why you will want an 64bit CPU if Android dont support it, and there is not future plans for support it either
