pete, 25 Oct 2013i see a LOT of apple fanboys piping up on here. just becaus... moreI see a lot of Android fanboys piping up on here about the relevance of 64bit with dual core and only 1GB ram..? Have a quick look at the benchmarks. It's easy to see that Apple knows something you don't.

So a 64bit dual core phone with only 1GB ram is as fast as a quad core with 3gb ram.. If not faster.

Yeah 64bit made no difference did it. And Apple has led the way again. Don't forget this truth.

i see a LOT of apple fanboys piping up on here. just because apple did it first without steeling it for a change you are all bragging, do you not see how stupid that is?
please troll elsewhere. go to your dual core 64 bit and wait for the presents of an 8 core 64 bit. the 64 bit processor on the iphone 5s is pointless, it brings nothing to the iphone, ther eis absolutely nothig to utilise it. android is open source and you can bet your ass there wil be plently of custom roms, games and more to utilise the 8 core 64 bit CPU.

go back to under your rocks.

geekme, 25 Oct 2013to be honest iphone is overate piece of low end junk phone ... moreI would like you list for me what MORE can an android device do that Iphones can't? At the end of the day, both are phones. I used androids and currently on an iphone. For both i still do my calls my facebook, my games and some apps. Get real, this is a phone, not a pc. you have to remember this fact. Doesn't matter if it's iphone and android, people usually just do normal things like calls, texts & games.

It's all well & good Samsung bringing out a 64bit processor, but Android isn't 64bit, and Samsung can't make native 64bit apps work on 32bit software, it has to be the otherway round.

The only way for Samsung to bring 64bit software to it's 64bit processor is to use Tizen, so the S5 could either have two different versions one running android on a 32bit processor & the 64bit processor running on Tizen, or scrap android in favor of using it's own software, as Samsung are becoming more like Apple anyroads with the way they starting to lock down their phones.

Apple on the otherhand with iOS 7 is 64bit that compatible with 32bit, hence why it works on the 5 and below no problem.

So if Samsung decide to ditch Android in favor of Tizen how many will buy the phone then, when they have to build up it's own apps market.

to be honest iphone is overate piece of low end junk phone if compare to current android flagship. think about it people, even high end pc if you have multiple program running on the background, it will actually slow and lag same to android, but you gotta love what it can do and have fun playing around with it. for iphone-wise come on, what else can you do with it beside everyday pick up phone call and facebook all day task?

finally you mean someone has made a true octocore. 8 symetrical cores running together.

wow. just need the software to actually utilise all 8 cores. then you have some power. give it another 2 years then shall we.!!

And so what - they will put it into 5% of the S5 range? As usual - Exynos only for some countries and the rest will get Snapdragon?

Maybe Samsung Mobile and Samsung Electronics should talk to each other and at last prepare a SoC that's worthy to be put into the flagship device.
