if this comes true it could kill apple just like the PC almost did in the 90.
apple can not compete against this kind of product because it is totaly against their strategy of a closed environment where apple controls everything.

This is so cool when it happens! Imagine not needing to buy new phone just to get updated hardware. Also, it would be really cool if we can install any mobile OS that we want or even better, dual booting it!

This is the future of smartphones.
Everyone likes some things but doesn't like or need other things in a smartphone. Having the ability to customize it to your needs would be priceless.
Hope moto doesn't drop the idea.

Cant Wait to see what comes of this
Could be a revolution of mobile tech
And for those people moaning about dropping it and coming apart
Take a look at Ur phone and see what holds it together
Parts arnt neccessarily Huge
Imagine having a fully customisable phones, getting to build it Phone any spec any size and any colour any way u want and then go in and customise the layout, I personally think this is brilliant and even if the idea was from YouTube They were asking someone to do it....

AnonD-108623, 29 Oct 2013am not engineer, and this idea might not harm consumer in te... moreI kind of understand where your coming from; it is like comparing a gaming pc to ps3 and xbox one, and uhhh wii, in a way, if you setup a gaming pc with similar specs to a ps3 (if possible) then the game you will get will not run on par to that of the ps3 because ps3 is focused to run games unlike pc; but then again, lucky us we have android, the os itself is designed to run on multiple configurations so the hassle you are trying to give emphasis to is not as relevant to phone blocks vs smartphone as to console vs pc, I believe it is up to the driver makers of the phone blocks to make this a success.
To be honest I really like the idea of simply replacing the cpu of my current phone on demand, it will be just like the pc, install a good driver and your good to go.
