this is to clear everyone that this report is from apr - jun 2013 sales which is 2nd quarter of this year. Q3 results will be updated by sony after 3 months. Their report is a quarter behind than usual

people bare in mind that these findings are quarter 3 and we still have quarter 4 to go then can talley up for the year
i HATED Sony Ericsson phones horrible pieces of rubbish
iv now owned the xperia Z and currently the Z1 both of which are brilliant and i have chosen above the s4/HTC one and many others the only real competitors to the Z1 for me is the LG G2 and the Note 3 both of which are Phablets (above 5" screens)
and triluminous xreality display means you are getting a reallistic display experiance than over eye pleasing over saturation of AMOLED dsplays
at least sony is using thier own tech unlike Apple Samsung and LG which most of these post seem to be on about
I have been converted to Sony phones at least for now but i doubt the quality will stay and is not faux at all

q2 2013 sales vs q3 2013
LG: 12.1m-> 12.0m (-0.1m/-0.9% change)
Sony: 9.6m -> 10m (+0.4m/+4.4% change)
Nokia:7.4m -> 8.8m (+1.4m/+18.9%change)
Apple:31.2m-> 33.8m (+2.6m/+8.3% change)
So Sony is growing faster compared to LG

So please create Xperia phone with high sound quality and add two stereo speaker to make sony famous with walkman again...
Water proof doesn't make you feel good, but only music is the best, so the sound of music is the most choice ever....

Great to see sony doing well in the mobile business but sony need to continue improve their phone. Waterproof is a great feature but they need to add or improve in other area especially on the display. Read all reviews and the number one complaint has always been their display. They even lost to Nokia and Htc in display quality when you consider both Nokia and htc does not have a display manufacturing facility. I owned an Xperia z and samsung s4 and I can Samsung is way better. The only thing I like about the Z is the design and for me it's easier to type SMS message.

At least Sony Sells is wht Satisfactory to customer.... So all in all Sony's 10 million Customer are more satisfied than Samsung's 1m per day Customers and lg's over all 12 m... !!!!
check the user ratings in gsmarena ..top 4 are sony xperias
bmw and ferrari s dnt sell millions cos they are premium ,same is sony ...

Now read my lips carefully all of u - I am a Sony fan since my child hood and i deeply see the real Sony technology and their hardware and I found no company stand in front of Sony uniqueness only one is capable called Panasonic but is too struggling these days ...so this is bad unfavourable time of these companies...dear friends my grand father once told me"if the good time gones then the bad will also goes one day"...
