You are right on the expensive part.... not sure about the premium as is seen by the ever increasing list of hardware and software issues with apple.

You must all be forgetting that Apple own all of the iOS marketshare while Android is shared by 1234567890 OEMs. So it's basically 1 guy vs. 1234567890 others. Apple is still very dominant. 2% less from Y-o-Y marketshare doesn't mean they've sold less of their premium expensive iDevices. It's just that there is an increase in volume of shipment of cheap Android phones. And Apple don't need to make their OS open. Not everybody is cool with malwares on their devices. iOS is great as it is. And there is a huge market for 4" phones. Not everyone wants to carry a tablet with them all the time.

Steve Job's "Thermonuclear war" on android has failed miserably...
I guess that's what happens if you don't move with the times ans still have small screens, itunes and a heavily restricted iOS.

If they want a competition try to sell thier ios to other manufacturer and i can tell that iphone is behind for the specs.

I have galaxy s2 and after the last Jelly bean update, celphone always lag and freezing. I think it happen because of android. I love samsung but Only this reason, i think i have to buy iphone :-/

Not surprised at this. A lot of low end smart phones run on android only, thats were Windows and apple is losing out. On top of that, a lot of plans in Canada and United States have free android phones, on 2 year deals. Yes. "free" That's why "android" is doing well. Because of low cost cheap smart phones.
