I own a 2-core Galaxy S4 Min with 1.5 gb and v4.22 update, and have yet to come across a single app that refuse work smoothly on this phone. The only possible exception is Zinio magazine-app who could benefit of a larger display and more pixels. Yet I can understand 4-core - but 8-core??? Seems over-the-top, to put it mildly.

Get Cyanogen Mod on your phones Huawei, as at the moment it's horrible, really is horrible, no one and i mean no one keeps any of the huawei phones like they are at stock.

I think wanting many cores is ok but a battery lasting 6 months on a single charge would be telling Huawei to build a phone size of a house...and a chariot to carry it...But really, these guys can do a lot more and better on mobile platform its only that they do not want to stretch the market specifications too far.
Otherwise, I almost bought the P6....Now, I will have to wait a few more months.

well if 4 cores produced so much heat .. I think we could boil eggs with 8 core's heat or take it to a meeting and when the coffee/tea goes cold , we could easily use the phone to heat our cold coffee/tea... Eventually we can also replace micro-oven make pop-corn ! Now that's what i call a true multitasking ! multipurpose device !

8 cores are so mid-range these days. I want a true 16 core phone that runs all 16 cores simultaneously. Plus a 6 inch screen. And six months of battery life. All for $150 max.

Doubling the cores does not double performance,it is a 50% improvement at best. Changing the architecture and doubling the cores,now that,is where real performance increments are at.

I'd say mediatek and huawei both should make a nice quad core like a 2GHz Quad core A15 would be much faster then a octa Core 1.5GHz

If my Mathematics is correct, the octa core shoud be 8 times faster that single core, 4 times faster that dual core and 2 time faster that than quad core. If the speed is the same as SNAPDRAGON 800, then the word OCTA CORE is just gimmick in other words, it's nothing to be proud of.

There's no purpose coming up with an Octa-core processor!! It will just heat up and you can fry an egg like with the GS4.
