12 Jan, 2009
Do you remember those tiny DLP-based pico projectors presented at last year's CES? Well, this year Samsung have integrated one into a real working mobile phone. Imagine having a projector this size...

I think it has potential..I don't think the projector is aimed at office presentations..the phone won't be able to project most office content because it cannot read them..the projector will most likely be used for showing your photos when there isn't a TV around..just beam your photos on a wall, and the pictures appear sci-fi style

a whole bunch of hot gas... no real sense in it....

i would never buy it.. even if they came out with it... which idiot would use it(the projector feature)??

only a FAD...i mean a 10 Mp camera still makes sense people would use it..

an idiotic idea.. i guess they just wanted to show they could do it...

It will never be available on shelves, multi-nationals do this to very often only to show that they can, it is just not financially viable... who would buy it??? not practical at all... i mean what's the screen for if you're gonna use it personally and any office will be well equipped to deal with these kind of requirements... a stupid idea, but the fact is they did it...

might be cool to watch movies on the go when tv-out cables are not available, but in the youtube video, scrolling is so slow....iphone beats it hands down in terms of UI....

                    Some more info:

For added convenience, the MBP200 comes with a small screen holder with a telescoping pole hidden inside, which can instantly turn a standard sheet of paper into a screen to view movies, document files or pictures. The 3.5mm standard jack allows users to enjoy their own headphones or speakers, or the built-in external speaker allows the MBP200 to play audio directly from the device.

                      This is a bad idear
                      makes the phone biger
and how stroung wil it be if u drop it
                      going to chow battry life
u cant use it on the go in a car n hard to use on a train
so wher r going to use it? At home in the ofece dont u have computer screens ther already?
Rather have the project sepret or a ad on or even better use wifi streaming
but i like the sun glases with the screan in its m0re use ful

samsung above nokia.the advance is clear, but the sales in the lower range, are bigger at nokia,so the market share don't care about high ends. anyway check out the facts, not the words. samsung already made:
-10 megapixel mobile more than one year ago
-8 megapixel resolution on two models already on store's shelves around the world with symbian and performances far above nokia's n96 and n85.
-5 megapixel and optical zoom, symbian and stuff on models one year ago,or even more.the 5 megapixel race practically end without any nokia with optical zoom. shame on you nokia. you have practically one 5 megapixel high end model:n95. the rest were remixed n95 models. shame, shame, shame
                          -projector mobile now.
-samsung already made cars with renault-nissan and big ships !!!
-samsung already the best oled lcd panels and many more impovments in electronics and home aplliances
-nokia makes only cheap-plastic mobiles or the useless 8-series at the price of a very good motorcycle at 2nd hand

hehehe you people.... Samsung deserves some credit, coz they did it before other major manufacturers did. Now everyone else will follow. And am quite sure LG will be next.

but i think it will be very expensive due to large projector also cost a lot of $$

hmmm...not something that I can really use or need on a phone. I wouldn't wanna pay for an application that I may never use at all.
