I like WP8 but I don't buy it because it's a closed source OS.. You know, you can't do much with a closed source OS and even if you can, it requires a lot of time. I'm still using Nokia 808 PureView as my main phone and a cheap Micromax A116 Canvas HD for gaming and other stuff.

Notificatio... moreYes,ringtone set option is available in WP 8,but it needs brain to set it,and "insider" app is available for WP8 that includes notifications of phone including quick shortcut to BT,WIFI,DATA SYNC,SETTING and you can add many shortcut as you want to add.As because i am also using xperia l,and lumia 520 but as lumia 520 playback is up to 1080p video, and internet is fast and camera is also good than my XL so i uses it for call and games.

AnonD-134749, 15 Dec 2013so how can we pirate apps in wp? kindle say.... its imposs... moreI wouldn't say impossible... it's just an OS with very little market-share hence spending the amount of time required to hacking it would just be a waste of time.

It's kind of the same though process that developers and software-houses go through when they decide not to waste time making their app also for WP8.

The good thing is that "little guys" (devs) have their shot in WP8, since they have much less competition there than in Android or iOS.

File manager is for convinent, like you take snap and video of your friend b'day party and file manager help to select those and paste it in one single folder. Do you think some people use it just to make piracy then all are doing. Pirated apps are available for iOS and WP too.

Lumia lags? if you mean in some apps or when you open a lot of things and phone slows down, than you are right. I have 1020 and 625 and my friend have 820. the os itself never lagged.

I don't have n8 but I do have Nokia 701 with Nokia belle. I don't know how are you saying n8 is faster than wp8. however I agree some features in symbian are still missing in wp8.

Microsoft is so slow with updates. April 2014 is still far, far away. I hope Microsoft won't use those on screen keys on their OS as they takes some small inches of display and are really annoying to use when playing a game or watching a movie.. What I want is a default file manager which will make non media recognizable files management easy, better functionality in IE with full desktop capability, option to side load apps, better video codecs support, real multitasking, full version of MS Office in-built for lifetime, best data monitoring application and more resource efficiency of the OS like Symbian. If all these things comes to Windows Phone, I'll make the switch immediately or else, it's best to stick with Symbian and Android for life.

Whaaat WP can't move files, that is a big minus to me
I do move files around, though not very often, to organize them better to suit my need/style,
i never own wp phone, but sometimes play few lumias demoed in phone stores.
To me, WP is just like beginner OS, It is a very simple os, no wonder it is smooth. It is not comparable with android.

                                        I stick with android
