Nokia 5730 XpressMusic leaks, QWERTY meets the music family

I just don't feel there is a need for a music phone with a small display and QWERTY like this. It's not going to face a lot of demand, as music phones are mainly for youth, and I can't see anyone who would want this except diehard Nokia fans.

The best music phone (sound quality wise) from Nokia perhaps is N95, but still, it cannot even beat the original SE W800 from 2 years ago.
And then there is a matter of the music interface: Nokia's simply cannot automatically update the files everytime there are new music added ("Cannot find file", etc... Duh?!)
SE automatically scan for new files AND RECOGNIZE them as well.
As much as I like Nokia, this new design for the Xpress line makes me want to hang on to (ANY) SE Walkman phones even longer...

if you look at the nokia roadmap that appears on google it looks like it is the P3838 or Madeleine , that says this legend "Side-sliding QWERTY , WiFi , Bluetooth , FM radio , VoIP , GPS , 3.2MP camera , N-Gage support with gaming keys" , it is in development , but says 2009 wk 13 ,so i think its near announcment ;)

Its really ugly looking phone. Screen size should be minimum 3 inch n should have metalic body.

Nokia is trying to come up with a more affordable device so it wouldn't hurt some of the 'tightly budget' users. The design is a bit cheesy, but it could have been worse. With an s60 operating system, qwerty keypad, 3.2 megapixel cam, xpressmusic, ect, for that price, well. It's about time the started catching up with the competition. Personally, I kinda like it.

i'm a SE fan , but must say...when you buy nokia , you don't just look for the features and looks. Its for people with a little class, cuz' nokia does'nt just offer to make a sale but with the sale you get this kinda' golden glow of nokia's polished caretaking and loyalty. xpress-music's beaten all the crappy walkman phones , because xpressmusic sounds way better than the walkmans..and thats what you keep in mind when u go for a music oriented phone. this nokia 5730 is another addition to the awsome xpressmusic lineup , and it'd sell bigtime for its qwerty keypad.It's design has that boyish yet maturish touch. well done nokia.

At the least, but music phone with QWERTY keyboard ... don't make sense ... I am a Nokia fan, but the design is damn UGLY, and 2" screen ? I mean 2" isn't bad, but when you have QWERTY ...

If this screen is only 2" in size. this phone will be rather small, something in the line of 100x44x17mm. a great phone for the texting hungry, music loving crowed out there, i like it, but without 3G or HSDPA, it will not be my first choise.
