28 December, 2013
We could be seeing the first devices with true octa-core or 64-bit (or both) from Samsung very soon.

+ve's:
-> Easy to set up
-> Smooth touch
-> Light weighted
-> Camera takes decent photographs. Secondary camera is very good though.
-> Battery looks good. Have been using for almost 6hrs and it got reduced from 55% to 35% only, with 3G on and downloaded 5-7 Apps from Play store
-> Thumps up to Android Lollipop. Its UI is very good compared to the older versions.
-> Got a discount of 10% on SC credit Card. Yay

-ve's:
-> No screen protector with-in the box, finally i bought from the latestone.com with extra pay

              Please answer from a general mans' perspective. Okay so could someone be kind enough to tell me how and why does the core a processor has make a difference? I know its kind of absurd but I really want to know the difference!
              The performance, yes I know there is a difference, but how does it- say in day to day tasks affect my phone? Or my user experience?

                    Have we lost the first essence of the phone? We mainly use this for calling and messaging. When the two giant mobile OS was introduced Android and IOS, I was amazed on how those OS change the celpone industry. But now I have lost the enthusiasm. Every now and then both are developing a more powerful phone device. For what? No offense to other's comment here. As I have mentioned before, what is the first essence of the phone? Maybe one day they will come up with this specs:

                    Network: Intergalactic G (can call other galaxy's planet) simless
                    Body: Type-Liquid type
                    Display: Type-Super Hologram
                    Size-variable
                    Motion and voice command
                    Sound: Sonic
                    Memory: Sky is the limit
                    Data: Light speed
                    Camera: Primary-Electron microscope
                    Features- can see your atom and even take picture of nucleus, proton & electron
                    Secondary-Magnetic resonance imaging
                    Video-100k@1,000,000fps
                    OS: A.I. T-3001 (Artificial Intelligence)
                    Chipset: Nano technology
                    CPU: Variable core
                    GPU: Geforce Galactor
                    Power Source: Tesla wireless electricity transmission

                    At the end I will use this to call my families and friends. I wonder where in galaxies they are?

                        Qwerty hope, 28 Dec 2013another marketing strategy of samsung, another props crops ... moreFirst off apple started it by purposefully going out of their way to do so no matter what...Even like...using it to early even if it has more negatives than positives.

                        Second..Any phone with more ram uses more ram. 1.84 is free after system requirement is ALOT and almost the full of the maximum others offer before system takes any. And they are the first to do. Way more useful than a badly implanted 64bit.
                        And the octa was dual quad upfront. Never claimed it would be 8 cores nor did they promise an unlock.

                            AnonD-130551, 28 Dec 2013Oops, don't look at these results:http://gfxbench.com/devic... moreNo. The Note was clocked higher than might be suggested. Not the S4. And nor are they the exact same.
                            And again. Minimal advantages and sometime being outdone despite the clock difference of 1.6 to 19. and 1.9 to 2.3.
                            And again. It took a long time to get the Snapdragon that good. These are early A15's on a new architecture and build. Just needs newer optimizing.
                            S800 has advantages. The LTE and camera are not chip dependent the same. That is more a device advantage and does suck they were left out.

                                Second the differences are glorified featureless app launcher comparing to a highly adapatble feature rich computer like customizable OS. Al though IOS7 has made a change finally.
                                And the Apple chip took a bad step making it 64bit with 1GB of ram which could lead to some really bad negatives in memory management.

And they were upfront about the dual quad thing from the start.

                                    And much lower clocked devices being on par does show good usage.A15 is just not as optimized yet.

                                        I guess they are gonna unlock GTS for Note 3 and Note 10 2014 Edition.

                                        P.S. GTS=Global Task Switching= Ability to use all 8 cores together for short bursts of superlative performance. Or to use the cores in a more efficient manner For. Eg. While playing games, the background stuff can run on an A7 core, while the gaming work can be done on an A15 core.

                                        Hoping for a Quad Core big.LITTLE SoC announcement. 8 cores are kinda useless for thermally constrained devices, like out smartphones.
