It runs for 2-3 days, makes very good pictures, has 3 gigs ram - I never ran into lagging, its LTE capable, it has USB 3, it has 2 amper charger, it has full HD display - svga color space accurate in film mode, and so on and so on. Also it is the most capable handset of all because its stylus - ooops, sorry, S-pen.

The problem with Samsung is their played out design, tacky build (barring the very expensive new all metal Galaxy J), an ageing software design and the insistence to cram is too many features than one would possibly use, even by the end of two years. Instead of stuffing the devices with apparently useless and battery-hogging features, they should just try and refine the user experience. The boring (albeit elegant) UI is a problem that has plagued Sony as well. HTC played it smart to release their Sense 5.0 on their flagship, thus providing a fresh interface for people looking for something new, and then filtered it down to their lesser devices. In my opinion, all manufacturers should focus on revamping their UIs for their respective flagships at least, and make them stand out of the huge android crowd, that is.

Anonymous: they give people the most options. A flagship with battery removal, micro SD card slot and all in a slim profile. HTC won awards, yet some of these put people off.

Not surprised at all. Not as many S4's were activated compared to the S3. There is not much of an improvement from the s4 over the s3. Add to the fact, Samsung runs their phones on android, which is what 1000 other companies run on. 2013, other manufacturs are giving Samsung a run for their money, with Sony Xperia's, a slight increase of windows phones, and apple releasing 2 phones instead of one.
Look for Samsung's numbers continue to drop in the coming year. Their dominance is over. Just looking at users review, you can see, the Sony Experia is a much better user experience then it's rival the s4. So yes... Samsung is in for a dog fight the coming years.
IOS for example... you want ios.... there's only 1 phone you can get, and it's from apple. You want android??? many choices other then S4 or note 3. Samsung's profit will continue to drop.
btw, their stuff is overrated.

$7 billion quarterly profit.....sound grim??! Tell that to HTC/Nokia/Blackberry/Sony what is the real meaning of grim outlook. These companies should just quit & close shop if they just listen to all these "forecaster" & tech news site LOL

No doubt, Apple have superior build quality compared to Samsung and I'm honest enough to admit that because all the three Samsung phones I had stopped working in different ways. One hard bricked, second fell off on the floor and never switched on, and the third one boots up but then sticks to the home screen and can't be used because of buggy software.

this so coming after region locking. 10-15 my friends did not buy due to poor policy of region SIM lock. To get a locked phone even if we are paying hefty price for so called sim free is too much.
