2k is useless on such a small display and there's no real world benefits of having it on a phone unless you're eagle eyed. On such a high resolution, frame rate will be definitely worse and there's not a single application on the Play Store optimized for this much resolution. Even with full HD, frame rate is very slow. 720p HD and 1080p full HD resolutions are more than sufficient for 5-7" displays. Even with full HD, battery drains very quickly. With 2K or Quad HD, battery life would be an issue if the battery is not more than 8000 mAh especially if you're a heavy user. I would rather have full HD along with 8000 mAh battery than useless 2K resolution.

Bigger ram is not needed to justify spending flagship prices for an almost same phone as z1, and the 2k screen is just a gimmick with no real world benefits. 2k media content is huge in file sizes. and once its compressed to a workable size any of the fine detail info will be lost in compression. Im sure it will be a great phone none the less though....

Japan display also has the most advance IPS technology "IPS NEO" thanks to Hitachi (the one who developed IPS technology)
WhiteMagic (for superior brigthness and low power consumtion) and Pixel Eyes (for thinner, lighter and improve visibilty) thanks to Sony.

LG & SAMSUNG ARE UNITED (Secretly)
LG Display had sued Samsung Display for compensation of intrusion of their patent in September of last year. In December of the same year, Samsung Displayed sued vice versa against LG Display for the same reason. And they both had asked the court for patent nullity trial last November and past January.
The agreement was made because both companies realized they were wasting too much time and resources in the court. They decided to find agreeing point on their own through conversations and collecting opinions.
Both companies believed that this was nothing but a war of attrition, especially in this competitive global display market. They agreed to make fair competition in the market and attribute to improving each company.
Samsung and LG agreed on a common point that they should reduce the dispute and find a middle ground and agreement point, which will be the road to improvement and development of display industry.

SWEET SPECS...will love this on all major carriers here in the US with a wide array of 3G/HSPA+/L
TE bands. I really do hope it comes with as much minimal bezels as possible..ALL SCREEN FACE. Sony should take a cue from one of the very own device...Xperia ZL. Love the battery size and hope they will move the SOC up to S805.Choices choices choices...some badass devices for 2014.

Personally i think Xperia Z is still the best Xperia, it has massive performance, in fact performance in abundance, its much smaller than Z1, lighter, has plenty good camera for a phone, battery isnt much better in Z1, my Z havent had a freeze or crash in 10 months, and so on.
Im sick and tired of seeing S800 everywhere, the only thing its good for is running the bloat of Korean brand phones with lots of "features" and defective S-apps and crappium software suites.

I hope that the Sony sirius, will really have great specs (hardware and software) to keep raising the bar of technology even more! And to be a challenge/inspiration for all the other brands! (Like Samsung S5,LG G3,HTC one+ etc)
