I extremely hope,that this time,Samsung will really do everything possible(2014 technology)in hardware and software,to make the galaxy S5,really a mind blowing device! It must be really a collection of world technological innovations! (And so they will satisfy all the general consumers and geeks!!!)

Even if they only ditch the gruesome SAMOLED Pentile matrix display, it'll be something.
But they need to move their hardware and software design to The West (like HTC) if they want to increase sales by ditching the cheap and ugly looks that ruin what are otherwise well-spec'd phones.
But I don't see a Korean company managing anything quite so 'disloyal' to Korea - sales gain or no.

Samsung have great ideo to put it on smartphone but unluckly sometimes it is not perfect yet but because they wanna become the first in the market, they produce it.
One product from samsung that even samsung its say that it still a green tomato that not ripe yet is samsung galaxy gear. I want the ripe one. Not the raw one

The only problem with Samsung phones are, design is same for every model, and does't look premium even we spent more than 600$

soon we will have to lick the screen to unlock via DNA sample, gettin a bit ridiculous now ... i am a fan of samsung but they gotta forget the novelties and improve its software imo

Its either down to your network releasing the update or the obvious answer of Google who actually initially release the updates.

Google Android, 10 Jan 2014firts of all just check the statics of GSMARENA of last 3 y... morei somewhat agree with your terms on google android owners does not want apple services... but google took the very own idea of making a touch phone from apple... google without any denial search engine giants... but android, wow thou open sourced, flexible, customizable... just 100% absolutely sux... totally fragmented... u cannot build skyscrapers without a strong base m8... this is want exactly android is and not what ios is... plain and simple it does not matter what services android offers, none being the best in class...

During low light, S5 will scan our eyes with the aid of xenon flash and when S6 comes most of S5 user become blind user.
Now these people can see greater true black color beating the AMOLED display.

Actually samsung is just care how to sell their products. In case of after sales service, they are worst. They started updating note 2 in nov, but still i didnt received it. This was my last phone from samsung. When they launch new product, they creat hype and later forget it. This iris scanner will be useless. It will not be as useful as Iphone finger tech. I am considering to buy nokia 929 once it launch

They just do it because apple is doing it.
"Ohh see!.. Fingerprint Sensor! The next hot thing is biometrics!! Quick put that in.. does not need to be practical.. just put in .. just like the flexible screen."
They failed to see the point that fingerprint sensor on iPhone 5S is to aid in easy phone unlocking/ease of use (just like smart cover on an ipad). They think is security / biometrics and hype..

how long it take to scan the eye just to unlock phone ? what about the distant between phone and eyes ? did people have to put phone on the forehead to scan ? did it have to do the perfect angle to scan ? and how about at night ? can it detect ur eyes ? did it using nokia 41 mp front camera to scan ur eyes ? what benefit using that ?
