Proud early adopter and Galaxy Note N7000 owner here (it still does its job well) :3
I love my device and I know I'm sticking to this line of products because of sketching and note-taking abilities and cool screen. It's the least bad of all smartphones in my opinion.

What is this ugly term "phablet"??? We know who and why invented it. What is the definition and exact specs of this fake "category"?
So Dell Streak (5") was called firs "phablet" from the tech media. Now S4 is 5", and LG G2 is 5.2". So?? Are they "phablets" too???
oh , we know.
Now the Note can be the best "phablet" , but NEVER the best smartphone anymore. Right?
I can give you even better idea: Why don't you invent "category" for the puny 4" phones? Say: "Puniphone" ?
Then iPhone will be easily "the best" in the "category"LOL

Exynos are known to be have a heat tendency which is not a case in Snapdragon. Therefore, try harder....

What design they are all miserable boring mono slab blocks,,Put a proper D-Pad at bottom so I can adjust things like equaliser settings precicsly and add proper red/green call buttons and half press cam shutter buttons sick of this pathetic tapping an inaccurate piece of glass..
All the manufacturers have to dois choose a screen that's it all todays smartphones are ALL THE SAME rectangular slabs..

just goes to show that the device category is here to stay (are koreans more practical and less vain?)
next evolutionary step is a reduction of the width of desktop webpages for better legibility on devices of the category as mobile pages are a waste of their screen space.

Happy that note 3 looks more premium. True Z1 has aluminium and glass but it did not wow me with its huge bezels that makes it look ugly.

Their square shaped design is aesthetically pleasing and looks serious not like a toy. Also Lumias are built like tanks. I dropped my 620 from my balcony and apart from it coming apart, there was no damage whatsoever. Try doing that with some other phone and see what happens.

The battery last longer on the note 2 ( you can check gsmarena and other wehsites to see the statistics of the battery). Yeah note 3 have better ram and processor but they consume more battery and is not balanced. They changed the design, now it is more square like those ugly nokia lumias. The button on the s-pen is higher it isn't good feeling in your hand

OPS Exynos wiped the floor with Snaplagger in every aspect!
BTW Samsung are deliberate cripple Exynos because its much expensive than cheap Snaplagger.

I wouldn't say they look the same but they do often bear resemblance to each other, the original note looks a bit like gn3, but if you find a frame that fits well why change it to much I guess, but as with everything design is a risky move nowadays, what with Nokia Sony and lg all having individually designed phablets and with apple always trying to pounce on the slightest little comparison it must be difficult designing something that is essentially just a display with edges,

AnonD-46153, 16 Jan 2014well that is definitely better but it is not practical... w... moreI am actually quite pleased with the rounded corners. I liked the rounded S3 and the S4 improved on that. It looks nice to some and like you said is much more practical in these massive sizes.
Back on smaller phones though the Att Galxy S1 "Captivate" look fairly pleasing with the more squared shape. But I think it also did it in a much more pleasing way then a lot of them do. Where as I find many like Sony look completely and utterly plain from the front now. It's literally just a brick that looks pretty from the side and back, but boring up front.
