Fear the micromax and xolo, they give almost same config @ 10K. who's gonna buy a non-service brand (motorola) for 15k, just coz endorced by google??
Nokia did the same mistake by understimating the buyer sense of indians and now look where they are.
Mr Moto, don't think indians are fool, you can't target the mass with 15k price tag that too for a deviced fixed at 8gb with no card slot & a 5mp camera !

Moto g India launch details will be announced on Feb 5. Check out 'Motorola Mobility' page on Twitter. If this is true better to buy some Indian brands, they are simply playing with our patience, even after waiting if price is 15k for 8GB, it will not be budget phone. By Feb 5 micromax may release Canvas 5, which is octacore, 2GB ,FHD under 20K. Even Indian brands are also not bad.

Moto G launch details for India will be announced on
          February 5. Stay tuned!

So those who urgently need a phone stop waiting. Others you can wait, but still no service centres.

Now I think this phone will not grab the Indian market as expected.
          Pity Motorola.

moto g is budget phone how it is popular for that , but in india if it doesn't come such that way then it would be stand in the place where all other mobile phone devices trying to compete each other.....!

motorola- learn this."india is a price sensitive market"..more we want, less/reasonable we pay:)

Chirag, 21 Jan 2014I better import from US if they release with price tag of R... moreIf youre going to import it from US.. Its going to cost you 16k [199USD + 37USD i.e duty fees, tax].. Id rather buy moto G with dual sim variant with charger, head phones, for 16.5k after couple of months in India.. Again its my opinion cause I have time on my side.. But, if you cannot afford to wait and pricing, better buy Sony Xperia M for 11.5k.. My brother is using it and its actually not bad for a budget phone

                                      Ideal pricing should be around
~13000 for the 8 GB Model
~15000 for the 16 GB Model

Anything more than that will surely take the sweetness out of the whole package as there are many brands in india like Micromax, Karbon, Lava, Xolo etc. which provide similar specs in 10-12k ballpark and customers will not pay any more premium for Motorola due their almost non existing after sales service

Motorola kindly justify the price by putting in improved features for Indian version.

                                        1) Top Class audio quality
                                        2) Better camera
                                        3) HD Voice for call quality
                                        4) better battery life
                                        5) Deep whatsapp integration
