nobody in india will purchase at 15 to 16 k for 8 gb ! It's gonna b ''super flop'' if it will nt b available at 13 k for 8 gb N' 15 k for 16 gb. .

I want to remember one thing that the motorola mobility is a worldwide standared company. So they will release the mobile with a good after sales section too. Don't worry just pick it.

been waiting to purchase this so called budget phone,,but it's no where in the perimeter of budget..so sad and feeling low wid these cheap and political tricks..instead one can go for MMX or XOLO.. :(

At this price, I would go get a Micromax Canvas Turbo rather than Moto G. At least Micromax has service centres.

if u r tight on budged and could live with windows lumia 520 and lumia 525 are the real budget phones..
even xperia m is great if u could get it below 12k...

google wants to promote cloud storage thats why no microsd.. and moto g comes with 50+ gb of cloud storage but this is of little or no use because of limited internet speed in our country.
As u speak otg is the one of the best features here, as we can connect wireless keyboard, mouse. pendrives, psp controllers etc...
for the guys who like storing tonnes of songs and videos moto g is not for u..
actually the processor is not outdated its a arm cortex a7.. still used in most phones.. quadcore snapdragon 400 is specially made for moto g by qualcom..
it is equivalent to krait 300 processors produced by qualcomm.. cant complain about the processor..
yes no microsd still a problem nd the bigger issue no service centres..
No device in the market is perfect same goes for the moto g but I see pros more than cons in this motorola device....

AnonD-226329, 21 Jan 2014i dont understand u guys , what the hell r u guys talking a... moreThe OTG is definitely a solution for sure if you are looking to add passive data however if you are looking to install loads of apps like we used to do on an S2(Samsung) back in the good old days when memory wasn't yet a problem, then no.
The OTG will hang below the device and stick out whenever you decide to use it. At home ? Sure. On a bus ? Maybe. In the metro ? Give it a try.
Besides the already flawed design it does not solve the problem of 'expanding' internal memory so that you can install apps. Data is getting fatter. Video. Audio. Games. Quality comes with a price. Even the Xperia M isn't perfect as it has a heating problem. So ? There is a compromise. Skipping a slot ? Not a good move, really.
As it is, all budget phones come with an option to expand and then the guys over at XDA try their best to create a memory 'swap' so that you can buy a high capacity card and get it swapped with the internal one to make the best of what you have, it then becomes a huge compromise when you lose that slot.
Sorry for the long post but unless the two factors are correctly addressed the fact remains that Moto is a risky purchase that does not quite lets you have your way.
Not to forget we get an outdated Cortex-A7 which may or may not get further updates as opposed to a recent Krait architecture that might hold on its own for a little longer.
Moto - Great screen, optimization, camera
Xperia - more apps(card slot + memory swap), price, support
Moto can ONLY win if price is set right THEN offers support after that.
A little trivia: Motorola was recently sued by a man for faulty device sold way back in 2008 ending up paying ₹60,000 in damages

Not to bash Moto but to reveal how uncertain its strategies are in India. I haven't yet purchased the Xperia M as I couldn't resist the Moto's screen and awesome optimization which beats the previous year's mid-range flagships on a measly Cortex-A7. Not to forget the minimal skinning which gets you closer to pure android experience.

They launch moto g in america 179 dollar but in india 250 dollar? Xperia M and Galaxy core best option under 190 dollar.

I am waiting for moto g for last 1 month. I was expecting it to be around Rs 12500 for 8 GB version(http://www.smartprix.com/mobiles/motorola-moto-g-p1101bi080pb).You can check the price in the above mentioned link. If it will come with 15-16K, then i won't buy this phone.
