AnonD-209094, 23 Jan 2014They sold only 8.2 million Lumia devices and 8.1 million of... moreThat simply means the loss was way bigger than reported!

AnonD-136500, 23 Jan 2014Windows Phone is a failure... It really is a two horse race... moreBoth android and ios are crap and pathetic OS.They just sucks the battery and RAM like an unoptimized system. Also desktop like functionality optimized for phablets is the answer to future of smatphone/computer industry.Ithink Nokia and Microsoft combined can deliver this by continuing convergence offull windows OS with windows phone OS and also optimizing it for phablet viewingat the same time. The future is bright for Misrosoft Nokia Corporation(MNC) if they follow this path of "convergence and optimization" at the same time.

Sure it's been a profitable year.
Selling Nokia 301 devices with a promised battery life of 800h ... which is actually less than 48h.
It would be sad to be in the red.

I agree with that Anonymous guy... Symbian is still the best OS, if you can excuse the not so fluid UI (which not many actually need) and lack of apps (which only Nokia caused due to multiple upgrades, each incompatible with the previous one).

Symbian is still the closest to a PC OS, the safest OS, and still one which gives you a lot of power to do stuff... :)

"For the full year, the division made €310 in operating profit, down 5% compared to 2102."
2102? Are we even in that year? Looks like a typo mistake here. I guess GSMArena meant 2012 instead of "2102."

Nokia, please bring back Symbian OS which you had discarded for Win OS. Once you were the leader & now only with Symbian OS you can reach that position again. Just develop Symbian OS further again. Win OS can't give us simple features which were available in Symbian OS long back, like 'File manager' & 'Ability to install apps & games on SD card'. Shame on Win OS.

whatever happens to Lumia, I hope Microsoft just keeps it running they way it used to, and hands over management of the XBox to them.

When you read the title you think that Nokia has made something big, but if you go to the bottom of the post you'll know how Nokia massively failed in its Mobile Phone devices divison

Well, I read it was a disappointing Q4 here..!!

                            http://www.engadget.com/2014/01/23/nokia-q4-2013/

I've been an Apple fan, but I always wondered Nokia + Android could have been the best thing to happen..!! Atleast consider a Dual Boot..!! But then Microsoft had the deal.!!

Sadly Miracles won't happen in real world.
