Android must be able to run on all manner of screen sizes, from the tiny through to the enormous, with each phone being of varying capability. Android handsets will always seem to be lagging behind Apple handsets on benchmarks due to this reason, especially browsermark. In terms of brute force, it's a different story. Anyway, look at Nokia handsets. I've had a 710 and 820, and they were blitzingly quick on the internet, an easy match for the most powerful iPhones, because again they're running on software which is optimised for them.

Lol at all the hopeful haters suggesting Samsung is about to go under, just because it made a few trillion less (and has not even made a loss). It seems that every time a manufacturer releases a major new handset that is simply a minor upgrade to the existing flagship (eg Galaxy S5, iPhone 5/5s), that manufacturer loses sales and, in Apple's case, worldwide market share. This is a warning to all manufacturers not to rest on the success of their latest hit, they need to be constantly pushing boundaries and bringing innovation, not simply repackaging the same phone and calling it the future.

Yeah better to pay a lot more for an Iphone. I prefer 2x an S3 than a freaking 5S with weird fingerscanner.

Beginning of the End of the golden era of Samsung that lasted the last two years with the help of copying Apple. Plenty of Chinese plagiarism with cheap plastic that cost Samsung can not compete. Increased diagonal cell phone is no longer meaningful and Samsung now where there is no space to grow. Now he can only fall.
All that is rapidly growing, rapidly falling.
On the other hand, Apple has plenty of room to grow by offering mobile phones of various larger diagonal.

I was pointing out a difference where an iPhone 5S is better than S4 in computation, not in multitasking.

Anonymous, 24 Jan 2014Samsung's profit is down because of Rising LGI bought an LG L9 May last year. I thought it was perfect. Then four months later I wanted to throw it all the time because of how stupid it is. Then six months later I wanted to beat it against a rock because it keeps effin' up. Now it can't get a signal so I can't text or call anyone, it's screwing me up!

Most of the time they are just numbers and actual performance is alot different, it is like when you say a phone has a 13MP is always better than 8MP without considering other factors ( optics , sensors , digital image processing )
Another thing is there are certain benchmarks apps that boost some phones performance , so we don't take a single result into consideration , we take an average of all famous benchmarks apps
And if you see from the link you have given , the iPhone is only ahead in web browser only , but all other benchmarks ( CPU , Display , etc ) it is miles away from the Note 3, and even if iPhone won in all benchmarks , there are tons of features that the iPhone will never offer like ( USB mass Storage , S pen stylus , higher screen res , 4k video recording ) should I go on
before you talk of confidence as if you have lived with both phones and tried all their features , go watch speed tests on youtube between iPhone and S4 or Note 3 , then give us the link if you find something to prove your point

But I know your feeling here as I have never wanted Samsung due to its build quality , but I bought a phone of high build quality ( Stainless Steel and Kevlar ) and I spend two years searching for a cover and I couldn't find one while Samsung Phone covers are in every shop in my country ( even the stupid dumbphone Galaxy Y pfffff ), then my next phone is definitely going to be a Samsung as my ( high build Quality phone ) got scrached up alot and I feel one day it may fall from my Hand and break its screen which would never happen if I found it a cover

Please check the benchmarks first. It's even better than Note 3 in many cases. It would be better if you count facts as facts which are different then yours instead of trolls and I didn't even ask you to be mad. You are too quick to jump into conclusions and the reason why you are saying is probably you are feeling the opposite...

Not surprised at all. their smart watch and smart t.v idea was a flop. Their S4 was a complete flop, overrated by Samsung and their fanbase and nothing more.
Samsung this year had to face the heated competition with the Sony rising with their xperia line, although not doing much in market share yet, it is doing a little bit of damage already, and keep in mind, Their are many units of the Xperia, note 3 overrated as usual, (Samsung really needs to stop using plastic) all in all, it will be very hard for Samsung to replicate what they were able to do in 2012.
Heading in 2014 going to be extremely difficult with so many heated competion among the android world with once again Sony Xperia coming with top notch quality phones, not too mention with apple releasing a phablet and a 4.8 inch size screen, wouldn't help them at all. The Galaxy S line strong is over with the S3 doing the best.
Look for Samsungs number to not improve that much next year.

It is simple, as you said Samsung don't have devices. Let me rephrase it, "Samsung does have devices. Astonishing ones indeed but the most important aspect i.e consumers also have devices"
That being said, a customer cannot buy a device just after it's launch every week and a customer cannot buy a newly released device every year. The quickly Samsung is throwing out flagships, it is hard to attract more milk because even if there is a hardcore Samsung fan, he will not buy each and every flagship from Samsung and if he is, how much in quantity they will possible exist? It is simple. The gap between a phone-to-phone is too minimum that a customer find it had to upgrade every time.
In this case, Apple is very good. I would say the best. The launch-to-launch time of a phone at Apple is the best way to keep customers excited for the upcoming model and thus attract customers. Apple here is successful in playing with minds of people.
