Sony is too late with this one, other company's are making high spec phones with a small body and frame. So sony put your a-game up and bring the Sony Z2 compact with the 4.5 inch sharp izgo screen, 2600mah Amprius quick charge battery, 3gb ram and aluminium backside

Announced to start on February 1 in Russia as well, for 21990 rub. That's 470 euro.

Anonymous, 24 Jan 2014We in Sweden do definitely not have higher salaries then UK... moreStrange, when I worked in Stockholm doing basic cashiers jobs I was on much more then I ever earned, living in London. and after this living in Arhus, Denmark working in a bar I prob earned my highest ever salary. It's often not ur wage but your standard of living that is high, but even offsetting that I still had a much better and higher standard of life in Scandinavian countries, then in uk, would have stayed as well if not for my lack of the languages. Beautiful places

You didnt even bother to check what the fullsize Z1 cost in Sweden. Its SEK 5290, and the compact is 4590, thats a lot cheaper in case you really are as bad with numbers as you appear to be.

Available in Norway also. Monday or Tuesday it will be in stock with the Nordic carriers in the TeliaSonera group as well, that includes Telia Sweden, Netcom Norway, Chess Norway and Sonera Finland. TeliaSonera has carrier networks in lots of countries but this is only for Nordic. All phones are sold unlocked through TeliaSonera carriers, contract or not.

Design wise Sony has found theyr "look" and its nice, you see their phones and you instandly know who maide them.
Price is very logical considering its the starting price of the product and this smaller version of a flagship actualy has flagship specs unlike the other shrinked flagship who only cary the flagship name with subpar specs.

actually that separates them with the generic soap like design like Samsung and almost all of smart phones. That is one of the main reason I go for Sony. I don't want my phone looking like any other unbranded china phones out there. just saying. :) Unique. On the other hand, way to expensive! I though they said it will be cheaper than Z1? I think I would stick with my soon to be obsolete Xperia V and buy a Sony DSC QX10 for better camera but a little more bulky.

iPhone 5S 16GB costs in the Netherlands 699€
The Sony Z1 Compact is not a cheap phone but it is much better and still costs 180€ less.

Don't get upset over the price. It will be much lower in other parts of the world. The Note 3 costs 5500kr.
