Nickahola, 27 Jan 2014An octa-core on a mid-rang device.
Those two things don... moreThink before you write!
Number of cores is irrelevant, it's the actual computing power the CPU has that matters. This MTK CPU is very powerful, and offers great value in the mid-range market.
AnTuTu 4
MediaTek MT6592 (prototype): 25495
Newer version scores 29415 (@1.7GHz) and 32606 (@2GHz)
Quite a step up from MT6589T at about 14-15,000 in antutu.
Not to mention it comes with a quad-core Mali-450-mp4 GPU clocked at 700MHz.
Seems like the new "Desire" will be a very good choice.

Yes, is a Mediatek and is a 8vs4 core CPU, but under de 300€ will be the best bang for the buck.
So at least get your facts straight...

"MTK" i think HTC has lost its way. leaving high quality processors for cheap ones only means one thing china. how can they compete with hauwai and lenovo.the problem with htc is from within.

An octa-core on a mid-rang device.
Those two things don't belong in the same sentence, it's a bit contradictory.
Octa-core isn't needed on a top end device, never mind a mid-range device.
HTC don't really know what they're doing do they

Its no good if its plastic, just jumping on other manufacturers with many colour options. Atleast it should be in polycarbonate material.
