i believe it could more than 300mb free of RAM with some system apps are running background (only Nokia can do this)
as we all know that Android eats so much RAM because of Google services...
my brother's Galaxy Chat has only 97mb free ram for BBM, Whatsapp, google play, email, autokiller apps, clean master....are runing background

Asha was also sold to Microsoft along with Lumia. So this must be the type of phones Nokia will be making/selling after the D&S acquisition is completed. Feature-phones running Android OS.

Here at Microsoft we are working very hard to mature WP8 OS only for you. This is definitely an Android phone. Yes, it's a Asha phone but it can run Android applications. This phone is created especially to get people to despise Android based phones because this phone is having many issues like UI incompatibility with Android apps so people buy Windows phones

AnonD-230050, 03 Feb 2014I have been waiting for Nokia to release a phone with an An... moreLet us hope. Considering installing APKs hasn't worked so well on Jolla, though the OS is said to support Android apps. Maybe they've rectified it since, but, last I checked, it wasn't doing so well.
Anyways, if this is the direction future Ashas are headed, and if you CAN install Android apps, then I'm well and truly sold. Just bump up the specs a little with perhaps a little larger, high-res screen and a little more in the way of RAM.

I have been waiting for Nokia to release a phone with an Android OS installed to it and it will finally come... To those who are hesitant to get this phone because of a low 512 RAM, no need to worry, I am pretty sure that this phone can handle it... I've tried using an Android phone with the same specs for a year and it works fine without having any problem... To all detractors and bashers there, even if you keep on posting negative comments about this phone considering that its not yet available and you have not tried it, consumers will eventually figure out that this is really a good phone and no one can stop them from buying this phone. This is a great alternative to Windows phone and its good to hear that Nokia will release a dual sim version of this Android phone. Yes, Google will not support this phone, but even if this phone has no Google Play store, remember that Android is an open OS, I am very sure and I already tried installing android apps download externally from a website and installed to my android phone via USB cable so I dont think there will be a problem if this phone doesnt have Google play store. Example of external website for Free Android applications are Android central and Androidpit. Besides, Nokia will absolutely provides additional useful applications as well likes maps and games as well.

Microsoft asked Samsung to dual-boot android with windows phone.
Samsung said No!
Microsoft now uses Nokia to rival Samsung.
Imagine Nokia 41mp Pureview 2014 spec android phone in Market...
Samdung is so dead...
seeing this, Google sold useless motorola and tie-up with Samsung...
Its double win for Microsoft.
No other OS can compete with WP in terms of performance and other features are growing...
So, now is the time to destroy the android market with googless android
2014-2015 is going to be fun...

Yeah... Android without Google Services is a "failure". Except Amazon already did it (and still does) with their Kindle tablets and they have proven to be a success for some years now.
Android with 512MB of RAM is "suicide". Except some people are already running KK in devices with 512MB of RAM (me for instance, in a Xperia 2011 with CM11) and once you do it becomes clear that 512MB fear mongering is complete and utter BS for the practical purposes of this phone.
IT'S A BARE BOTTOM LOW-END DEVICE, NOT A FLAGSHIP NEITHER A MID-RANGER.
Should it launch close to the EUR100/USD100 mark and you quite simply cannot find anything better in that price range (it will be a total killer phone!).

first people say nokia does not release android phone
now they are releasing they say its usless what u people actually want ?
this device is meant for low end low price then why u dream of getting gbs of ram and high end processor ?
its better than those useless low ends which doesnot even gets latest android n stuck on GingerBread
