Dear Mr.Yang Yuanqing, I do wish you all the best for your predicting.....I do love Motorola.... As a phone...so I got my self an Moto X....but I am extremely sorry to say.....itz no long the company a customer can relay. I have been the problem with my phone since June 14....itz 2 months from purchase....Nd m still facing the same problem. The worse part is the companies that you hv hired to help the customer like us....they Dnt even bother to escalate our problem. Itz my mistake giving priority to ur compare over nexus.

I hope u understand my problem m facing.

Kushal

I told my friends that the Motorola acquisition by Google was a bad move because any perception by Android phone makers that Google was giving preferential treatment to Motorola would cause them to embrace other Operating systems.

Google didn't distribute the Motorola phones globally nor did they throw a load of sales and marketing dollars behind the phones (except in the USA) so it didn't sell very well. For a highly competitive consumer product, sales and marketing dollars makes the difference (just ask HTC about that).

Google could have made Motorola successful, but they realized there was more to be lost (defection away from Android by other phone makers) with the Motorola brand success than there was to be gained.

Surely Lenovo can do a much better job than Google did, just get the card slots back and stop making non-sense flagship models with 2012 resolution and voice gimmicks.

Bravo lenovo..you can do it , what google could not do, just because of limited market space and their main focus on Internet Business.
What I believe is lenovo business model gonna really work because
a.) China is the hub so Lenovo will be getting material at lower costs.
b.) They also plan on introducing more Motorola
products, particularly in emerging markets like
China and india.as per a research house it is believed at, in 2014 their will be accumulated sale of 500mn mobile handset. So lenovo has great future ahead In the hood of motorola.
c.) I think motorola products should focus on neche market as well as on entry level and mid range products..as moto g is the great hit in india.

So Google avoided lawsuits by snapping up all these patents (which I believe they still have shared use of), and saved themselves a fortune in the process - with pressure mounting on them to pay some tax SOMEWHERE in the world, taking a $10bn loss on Motorola is probably an equally smart, calculated business move - it's an eyewatering writeoff... as a Nokia distributor for many years I'm no fan of Motorola, but it's a shame to see it being used as a pawn

Come on... bring in some flagship models of motorola via RAZR ...

Im using RAZR XT910 and it still going strong due to the build quality and i can tell its way better than the S2. Only drawback, they stopped updating the OS.

Bring back the legacy of stylish and trend setter look.... of MOTOROLA.

                MOTOROLA's Indian strategy!
Up to date. Equivalent, world-class, quality.
                Apple?
2-3 year old Tech in the sale of the IPhone 4 series.
                Rubbish
Then again, the Moto series is AMERICAN made.
Apple still uses CHILD LABOR! Period. Just a step or two up from slavery.

Well, I for one thing am sure that Moto will see a turnaround.
Just like ThinkPad there will be fast downhill run for quality and thus lowering the cost....
But it won't be the Motorola we loved, you can count on that!
