samshit, 18 Feb 2014If they know how to do it better y are they using sonyDo you have to imply such lame fanboy contradiction with your reply?
Why? there could be numerous reasons. To save time, money, work load, there was something about the sensors they liked, who knows.

Either way what has happened did.

        I've been thinking...
What good does 4K video capture mean on a mobile device if all the other streams (1080p BluRay, 576i HDTV) are a lot less.
So you'll be running around with a 4K camera and capture some silly moments for yourself and all the other high quality media will be on lower resolutions. :/

But look it this way: the viewing angles finally improved on a Sony device... Also the software looks polished and the camera app its improved. One thing pending would be actual photos samples, specially in low light.

anyway this one its not for me, will wait at least another 2 models cause my darn contract...

This one will be a joy for new owners

I hope my phone (z1) looks at least similar to this new UI. Looks really nice. One thing brought my attention was the viewing angles of this new device, finally GSMarena reviews going to show a different comment about it.

Now with the S5 they are more than likely going back to Samsung again. SO only a couple generations. And Samsung is able to optimize it much better. And when they made their own sensors they were generally superior.
If you are going to be a fanboy in reply do not bother because this was a factual comment in reply to a silly fanboy one.

Believe me I looked. The only S4 I have come across is the 16gb variant with my 64gb card nestling in it! Would rather have the option of 16gb with expandable memory than 32gb non expandable! Just my two penny's worth!

Why are people complaining about the 16gig. 32 and 64 gig phones are barely available. Just gimmick! In my workplace most got 16 and 8 gig and yet no complain, while some got 32gig but they were saying they should have gone for the 16gig because it's cheaper and is more than enough space.

AnonD-155636, 17 Feb 2014The only reason that the Z1s had 32 G's of onboard storage ... moreBut we cant store offline content to sd, how hard is that to understand? We cant even install big games to sd (or even small games or regular apps but thats not a real problem)

SD cards are great for putting illegal downloaded video and music on but for services like Sony Music Unlimited and SEN that is not possible, we need internal storage. And to take it one step further, what about 4k video recording, whats the point when you cant find an SD card that is fast enough to RELIABLY store the video? Why do you think Note 3 sometimes crashes when doing 4k? Its because the internal is full and it tries to save to SD and the buffers fill up and bang... Think about it for a while and try to understand why professional photographers are willing to pay 20 times higher price for the same capacity SD cards. Thats full size SD cards which are available in insanely high speeds, for phones we cant get anything near that speed, micro SD cards are ALL consumer level.

Finally, did t-mobile request 32GB because "hey just buy a card, expand it yourself"? They did it because they are smarter than Sony, T-mobile is one of the most customer friendly companies in the world, they care and they UNDERSTAND their customers.

AnonD-209094, 17 Feb 2014You are absolutely right. Most of all i think it is a shame... moreThe only reason that the Z1s had 32 G's of onboard storage was because T-Mobile requested that. It's a possibility that different markets may ship with different onboard storage amounts, but who cares? Most Sony devices have Micro-SD card slots expandable by 64 GB.

AnonD-208189, 17 Feb 2014Your word is right Sony is the bestIn other news about Sony today from Japanese newspaper it was said Sony would double its shipments of camera stuff to Apple, that could mean Apple will start buying also other camera parts than the sensor from Sony. To me it smells like Sony will supply Apple with G Lenses OR sensor stabilizers.

About stabilizers, if you lookup Sony A99 you can read about the impressive feat they made with stabilized sensors (instead of in the lens like on Nikon cameras), sony actually managed to put a fully working stabilizer on a Full Frame 35mm sensor. With that system the stabilizer works on SLR cameras no matter the lens used, it goes a long way to prove that Sony has a good technology in the area, in fact so good that you can see professionals using the Sony a99 camera, its competing with 35mm DSLRs and Medium Format (33x44mm sensors and upwards) cameras from established camera brands at more than twice the price (house only).

Edit: Its worth adding that Sony no longer make traditional SLR cameras, but rather use the much improved and in many ways superior SLT system, and they are the leading and trendsetting brand on mirrorless cameras.
