What is the diference between US and non US SIII mini? because 2 days ago sIII and SIII mini were on the list of devices which will get 4.4 in US

Galaxy grand 1 updade 4.4.2 and s3 is never update 4.4.2 this is old samsung mobile

And BTW. I think it's corporate crap that 4.4 is too heavy. The article itself mentions that 4.4 is optimized for 512MB ram. But I do admit that the new android together with their preloaded bullshit may prove too much.

I think it is absolutely a disgrace. My S3 still has its warranty for christ sake. I can't believe that they won't give the S3 its update because since it has updated to 4.3 it's been a disaster to use. I am seriously considering selling my phone. I already have 4.4.2 on my nexus 7 and it is amazing to use. Please Samsung give the S3 the same update as the rest of your lineup so I can still consider buying a Samsung in my lifetime. I can't believe that such a big brand as Samsung will slap their customers right in the face.

Its the Grand 2 going to 4.4 and its launched at 4.3 JB..
The original Grand will never be updated to 4.4 as Samsung already stated that 4.2.2 will be the last update for Grand , S2 and S2+..

US models have Snapdragon and 2GB of RAM that means 1GB RAM and Samsung's Exynos isnt powerful enough to run KitKat just like NVIDA isn't getting any support....

While I may not get the 4.4 on my S3 I do have the 4.3 on it. It seems to do well enough for now.

the decision should be revised as samsung has provided delayed updates for android 4.3 which should have been provided by 2013. there is no more samsung product which i am gonna buy this is really dis appointing for the S3 owners which is really bad for their market.

They know this and rely on it. I would love to root my Note 3 and put a custom Recovery and ROM on it but if a tripped Knox falg means they can deny me a warranty claim I cannot take that chance. I know it is ridiculous and I do not agree with it but that is the reality. Potentially I could get a power button fault that has nothing to do with software but because Knox is tripped they will potentially deny me my warranty claim and charge me for repairing it. If they do then my only option would be challenge them in court. Would you want to do that?

My Note 10.1 is getting the Kitkat update. Too bad for my sis' S3 isn't getting one. Come on Samsung. Im planning to have a Sony Xperia Z1 or Z1 compact and are already planned for the Kitkat update. Get it done Samsung, especially to S3 users like my sister. Or else, I might be forced to change my Note for Xperia Z tablet.

That is what made me quit going for Android since most units only get supported for a max of two years (in updates & releases) and always gives updates which is more of causing more headaches instead of more improvements. More updates a smartphones gets, more it gets dumber, IMHO.
