Are u saying the existing phones gonna have the new features with the updates or u are saying windows will upgrade its OS for newcoming devices so that they can be made with those new features?

I like Windows phone but it need much improvement in OS because now a day it's not friendly like Android. In this os we can't download any thing what we want which is necessary by any browser. And if i download then after that we can't move to desire place. So do something Windows phone production company.

Not sure about the cell info display though. try using here maps. Here maps can download the maps of your country and then you can use them even with your mobile data off.

Microsoft must revita... moreHow iOS is exciting to start with? Android perhaps due to lots of customization. If you can speak of iOS being exciting, so is Windows Phone because both platforms are much more restricted than Android.

Microsoft must revitalize its Windows Mobile OS to be as attractive and exciting as iOS, Android or even the new comers like FireFoxOS and Unbuntu.

Bravo for Microsoft sticking with Snapdragon SoC only. One ROM can update all Windows Phone 8 devices to Windows Phone 8.1

Hi Friends, If you want to type like symbian portrait keypad change your keyboard language to japanese or some thing else like korean.. Then press shift key to toggle. You will have an option to type like alpha numeric keypad

No basic functions in wp. No file manager. No separate volume controller for media files. Expecting to have all this along with the cell info display option, useful for the travelers like me.

Ok, maybe af... moreCome on what's wrong with phones having 512mb of RAM, we can't have all phones being flagships these inferior hardware are to bring the prices down....buy 1GB devices they are in plenty....soon wp8 will catch up and you will have nothing to criticize.dont forget Microsoft is a software giant

So after 4 years MS will add basic functions ? Ok, maybe after this update this OS will be useful, maybe ;) But we must remember dont buy phone like 620 without radio, 512MB mean you dont have all features, next time maybe even 1GB will be not enough. So if you want buy phone with Windows Phone you must wait for 8.1 and check for reviews (but not WP fanatic fans), maybe now will be useful like Symbian or Android - ofc not all functions, but part of most important will be (after 4 y) and probably, one more thing...more freedom for producers and user.

gz, 23 Feb 2014i dont see how that is a better way or faster way to type..... morealphanumeric is much easier to type with one hand when you are on the go. may be you haven't experienced that so please don't talk for others
