Agreeable that the Z2 doesn't merit a purchase especially if you've got the Z1, the differences are too subtles, but you are dead wrong about the updates and the warranty repairs are prompt, got one back in 5 days a few weeks back.

Too expensive, who buys sony phones anyways, the price will be halved in a month or two,and i don't see any new feature that will make me buy this, Hold on to your money people and make informed decisions, and Sony don't update their phones either

Bargain hunters will rejoice as I will when the Z2 arrives. This is due to the fact that the Z1 will drop in price making it a formidable choice st the quality end of Android.

The price is way too high, In India Z1 is available for 390 Euro, z2 has nothing special for even 500 Euros.....
450 Euro is right (may be).

No thing new, the price in Italy will always start from 700€,maybe the s5,HTC m8,and the lg g pro 2 will also start at an equivalent price ,I will take a guess and will tell that the price will drop to 629€ as it did with the xperia z

You people seem to always forget to include that. Pretty much all you can say is stupid stuff that they copy other products (who doesn't) & there made from plastic. Which is just a preference.

It's 2014 not... morebut to be honest he is right to a point, most of the past few years phones including the samsung, apple and HTC among others, all to often released so called flagships that are just minor upgrades and charge way over the odds price for them. most of the internal parts for these phones are bought at a pittance as shown in galaxy s4 and iphone 5s teardowns, showing that these devices cost $200 and $212 to build, but are sold at 3X that price, and for what? slight increase in processing power which is no longer visible on the phone, cameras that still do not really know what low light capture is, even though we are at the average 16-20mp range now, 16gb storage in 2014, please!! the problem is though that people are willing to pay so companies will continue to rip off prices to have the latest tech in hand

Minimal salary in DE, FR or NL ~1200 Euro but in Poland minimal amount is 1200 zł(~300 Euro!!!)

$600 in USA is still cheaper than S4. M sure that S5 will be more costlier than Z2 cos samsung has the worst pricing policy whereas sony is still kinda OK. Also, Sony's headphones are of premium quality and the phone itself is made up of premium material. Way better than Samsung. The way samsung is going ahead, it seems like Sony n Nokia are gonna acquire better sales than samsung. Way to go! I always hated Samsung :P

Sony bring you the quality and beauty and performance.but samsung is just powerful on the paper and has ugly design. just look at new galaxy S5.
