SONY always gives the outdated feature and also copy of the other brands feature and also don't care abt its previous phone always take care of its flagship, so it still didn't release the kitkat for z1.

Thomas, 28 Feb 2014I've seen so many friends suffer with Sony mobiles and thei... morewe must take in consideration that signal quality is not solely reliant on the phone itself, the network provider is also one of the factor for the signal coverage people are getting. for example T-mobile has good signal in this area but verizon do not have signal on the same area.

Apple and Samsung have d... morewell i have to correct your statement, samsung has 2 flagship a year, although they don't say the note series is one of their flagship, they have the galaxy and the note series as their flagship, they release samsung galaxy s 4 and note 3 series in the same year as well.

Apple and Samsung have done pretty well for themselves by releasing their flagships just one a year. We don't need flagship phones updated every 6 months

wkwkwk, overyone kick anyother, Samsung fan yeah, they will say Z2 is still bulky ugly bezel with no fingerprint sensor. I think European people and US people are rich and smart gadget people. but, always confused every come a new phone, be happy with you current phone. Have a phone with 2GB RAM and FullHD display, but just for chatting, fb, skype or everything social network, and playing games but just like flappy bird or simillar primitif solitair game, very impossible if you enjoy when watcing movie in a 5". Be happy friends! Be slow if you don't have a money to upgrade ( like me ).

Just like how they are doing with Z and Z1. So there won't be a big issue about firmware updates I guess. Even if Sony wants a new device every 6 months, rest of OEMs should be ready to succeed, I mean a newer processor unit, GPU..... Therefore sometimes it'll be a new design in a different design concept with pretty much similar hardware. Even though Samsung didn't release S4 under a new model number, they also have the S4 with S600 and s800(issued recently) in addition to the Exynos varient.... :)

what is the big deal on this matter?..every person has a freedom to choose,to buy something new and to change for something good for his/her own comfort..do not blame SONY for the fast evolution of their flagship..their phones is not built for those gadget lover but only for those who wanted to change,for those can afford to buy..sony didnt care if you have already bought their current flagship.they're always wanted to do their job as a manufacturer..so shut up those against for it.

Sony is just keeping their flagship ahead always and it means that they have tons of ideas than Samsung. I think they do this 6 months cycle for old customers / z2 owners and new customers for the z3.It only shows how Sony is investing R and D in there flagship phones unlike Samsung who keeps copying all the companies and run out of ideas like the S5 disappointment.

so you think in 6 month, users could enjoy new device? no.. most of them will feel waste of money since the old device will drop their value tremendously and new device arent cheap.

I've seen so many friends suffer with Sony mobiles and their (now) lack of quality. I've seen phones shut down for no reason, terrible signals on the xperia range which isn't limited to just one model either (do a search and see).
I could understand if the signal issues were even out in the sticks but in a city, that is totally unforgivable. Personally i wouldn't touch a Sony at all at the moment (to be honest there aren't any phones out there i like the look of at the moment)
I love the line "According to him, in order to maintain the flagship status of the product, you must upgrade it faster to keep it competitive" WELL try making the phones better, more stable, better signal for those who don't live in cities or at least venture out of them from time to time and stop the "this will do" attitude.
