Do people fix things these days anymore? How do you think phones can be "repaired" within an hour? Parts or the whole motherboard simply get "replaced" nowadays.
BTW, does someone need to be a technical expert to use an iphone? In fact, I think is the other way around, most techky people would probably go for Windows Mobile or whatever else.
And yes, I got my Windows Mobile phone which "outsmarts" me...as simply tasks like using MP3 ringtone in the alarm clock proved to be a 10 steps process + downloading of ??? software...why life gets so complicated?

Every1 seems to have forgotten the issues the iphone had at launch and the months following, dont care to list them. Just a reminder. plus this phone cost half the amount of the iphone so get off it already

So its easy to say the iPhone is much more popular there. and its a AMERICAN MADE product.

i feel this is sold... morei agree with you. somehow on this board if it isn't Nokia it must suck. and the facts are so misstated. ATT (iPhone in US) is a two year commitment, not three, and that too is negotiable if you are a customer of theirs for a while.
the so-called "experts" on this board have little or no skill but just adolescent aggression. Small minds and other small parts i guess. oh well, i need to find a place for good phone advice. any suggestions other than here?

this is my last post here. i have found that this board is worthless as it is bullied by second rate technologists and baby fanboys who develop unfounded loyalty or hatred with little knowledge and lots of emotion. There is no room for commentary or discussion.
you have confirmed for me that the ratings at this site must be as useless as he advice since the same losers are voting as well as engaging in pointless arguing.

1. that people in the US do not read specs on (i do at least)
2. somehow people where you are are smarter and less prone to follow
3. that all features important to you are also important to me
you assume WAY too much. if you read my post, all i pointed out was that in my experience (mine, not anyone else's ) was that Nokia products have failed me over and over again. And now the 5800 also has issues. My iPhone works perfectly for me.
so please do not assume anything. Better to do your research and choose for yourself. I am pretty sure i know what i need and like better than you know what i need and like.

just like the microsoft's ZUNE it's ways better then the Ipod in so many categories but everyone still like the ipod cause everyone eles has it and when you ask them why they have an ipod,iphone or itouch then just say it's good

i like to look at specs and look at all devices and electronics before i buy them
just like how even though Sony makes good LCD tv's Samsung actually makes the Best LCD and plasma TVs
it's just no one like to look at options they just pick what everyone else picked

i tried to explain rationally that after years of having issues with Nokia product failure to perform / breakdowns that i switched to iPhone. i was bombarded with childish responses from an amazing assortment of losers. For those of you interested in facts, not fiction, please go to link below at BBC which indicates the 5800 was withdrawn from US market due to #G connection issues and will not be sold there again until the issues are resolved. if you stepped on your iphone it would break cause it the design can't distrabute weight equally though out the phone with 5800 since the screen is ressesed the ring around it will absorb the weight and spread it equally
and the grip on the back is really thought of and smart too
UI can support the Iphone's UI with ease
so your kinda mistaking about that how the iphone can't be beaten

the top right hand side of my nokia 5800 has a gap where i can see the light through it. its also very sqeeky if you hold the handset slightly tight. im also waiting for my earpiece to mess up as all nokia 5800 phones bought before february suffer from this problem.
