If only they got rid of this stupid Ultrapixel camera, and bought a Sony 13mp or 20mp sensor, or even a Samsung 16mp sensor, it would have been a much better phone. If they got rid of that stupid logo at the bottom, it would have been an instant success. If those 2 problems are still present in HTC One v3 (aka M9), I don't think i'll be upgrading my M7 to it, but would rather switch to a Sony, LG or Samsung. I love my HTC One, but camera is just trash, except in a very few situations.
And to whoever says that this camera is better, no it is not, especially not with the pink/purple tint that i get in moderately low light. Conditions in which my old Samsung Captivate performs without fault. In a very low light, with flash - yes, its much better than most cell phone cameras.

Anyone who accused me of trolling should see my posts.
As a huge fan, and sympathize for their sales and financial downfall, I am really pissed with HTC this time..
First I heard it was 16mp and 4up respectively at the back, which I thought was truly brilliant.. But my hope to see HTC rise again were dashed by official announcement!
Even GSM Arena tone is disappointment in the review, although I know they are secret fans of HTC build quality. But this time HTC has overdose it.
Crappy 4Up camera two years in a row is totally unacceptable. I don't know it's Peter Chou or whoever behind this move. HTC will get bleaker this time around.
I have sold 6 red HTC One out of pure hobby and doesn't mind making some money to support my changing gadgets habit.
I might buy m8 only to sell it again. Personally I think people who has original One with their hard earned money won't be easily persuaded to change for m8.
After all Here's To Change is just marketing gimmick because HTC showing no intention to change, and their battery still same mediocre and non replaceable one! I'd rather have it replaceable with no SD card expansion....
Dissapointed and angry, thats what my feeling towards HTC.
I prefer Desire 816 than this funny flagship!
P.S.: I'm mc larens fan myself. Good luck for Malaysia GP this weekend... GO JENSON!! (:

I am not a fanboy of any company as I have owned many different devices, but the HTC One does not compare to the S5, from the camera to software features, and everyone keeps forgetting that the S5 is WATER RESISTANT,which the HTC One is not.

HTC,as usual releases phones that are just almost perfect except for a couple of unacceptable omissions that the competition has, this time it's the 4MP camera (that can't hold a candle to Samsung's 16MP camera) and the inferior, yet non removable battery.
There's no doubt the M8 is more beautiful then the galaxy S5, but overall the S5 is a better device.
People who value mere looks over functionality and usefulness will go for the M8, I'm certainly not one of them.
Both phones are definitely excellent and most people will enjoy using both.
