I'm sorry, this is a phone site, not a jewelry shop. We buy phones for phones, not for their looks. Besides, if I were to buy a phone that expensive, I'd slap a case on it ASAP. I won't judge you if you prefer HTC One over Samsung S4/5, but I will judge you for saying that S5 can't justify its price tag just because of its ugliness. That's like saying that a talented person can't succeed just because s/he's ugly. And if Samsung releases an aluminum phone, I think it's safe to assume that it's gonna sell even more. Because like I said, what's important is the phone, not its looks. And by saying that HTC One wouldn't win the 2013 best phone of the year award if it was made of plastic, you just implied that HTC One is nothing without its premium materials. I'm not that great an expert in phones, but I'm pretty sure the software part is even more important than its case.

I'm not making this up. It isn't an "ludicrous" claim. Even your lithium-ploymer battery has a chance in short-circuiting just like lithium-ion, and explode with smoke. I know someone who had his HTC HD2's battery explode in front of him while charging, and he just used it not even a year.

Samsung really sucks. They added a Fingerprint sensor after iPhone 5s. And they've added many things after an iPhone on their next flagship device and that resulted in patent war! Basically Apple is a leader and Samsung is a follower. Some of the Samsung's features are useless. I'd say its a marketing gimmick and people dont really use that every day!

Don't blame them. Galaxy S5 has everything now that future iPhones will get in the next few years. Just look at how long it took Apple to increase from 3.5" to 4". Now, imagine how long it'll take to catch up to 5.1"?

The biggest threat to Apple comes not from Samsung but from Sony,if style image and Quality.
Sony came late to the stage but they have history and lots of experience in all areas.

[deleted post]I am an android fan and I would never buy an iphone for me. However calling all iphone users as isheep is downright stupid, as far as I am concerned. Why do you think 4inch phone is bad? If I had to buy a phone as gift for my father, I cannot consider a phone which is of size more than 4 inches. And what are the high end options in android world with 4 inches? None. Not even 1 high end phone with 4 inches.
No OEM (Samsung, HTC, Nokia) bothered to compete against iphone so far in their turf (i.e. high end 4 inches phones). Only Sony has released one phone in the last 5 years which can be compared with iphone. That is Sony Z1 compact. People are allowed to their choices and ridiculing them because you don't like their choice is downright stupid.

There is another study showed a lot of Sony + HTC + Nokia users switched to Samsung too, which is more interesting than Apple, i don't know where this all hatred toward Apple comes from i know they abused the legal system but they are much better than Sony + HTC + Nokia combined together.
