Take the pricing with a grain of salt, the US market is getting the real deal at $299 USD for the 16GB model. Here's how some of the other OnePlus One pricing (16GB model as example) translates to USD:
269 Euro is 371 USD
229 GDP is 385 USD
2499 SEK is 378 USD
2099 DKK is 387 USD
2599 HKD is 335 USD
9999 TWD is 330 USD

The more I think about it the more I just don't understand why they thought they had to have a 5.5" screen. Maybe that's what people want these days I guess.
There are a lot of things that are nice about this phone. Obviously the price is a big deal (only the Nexus devices compare, for the level of quality). But I think the size may really turn a lot of people away.
If they had the same design, with a 5.2" or 5" screen and made it the size of the Nexus 5, it seems like it would have appealed to a much large audience.

I don't know why they havn't released it in their home country China.. An conference in China and that too in Chinese whereas the initial launch is meant for 16 developed markets other than China.
May be in that 1 month of period they will do the mass-production and sell in the 16 countries and in China as well through QD.com. So far what I understood is that they will have one warehouse in one country and shipment will be done through QD.com, I mean people have to place their order on this website and then they will import the specific numbers to that country and will handle the custom taxes and then you can ship to any part of that country. Great idea.

Check your facts mate, the Oppo Find 7a weights 170g, this one weights 162g, do the math, but yeah it is a beast, clearly larger than the Z1

What is up with this the phone measure 4.6 mm at the edges? That is not a dimension. The phone is 8.9 mm thick. That's a dimension.
It's like when the new iMac's came out and Apple said they were only 5 mm thick at the edges. Seriously? Did they think anyone was going to be fooled into think the computer was 5 mm thick. Did they think no one would notice the bulging out back and that the iMac is actually 7 inches thick?
I don't know why companies do this. It's used car salesman level cheesy PR. Who do they think they're fooling?
Sometimes it seems like the people who run these companies have just drunk their own kool aid so much that they actually have deluded themselves into believe that the edge (which they can make any thickness they want) means anything. They think they just say magical words and reality becomes whatever they want.

This is more of a mid-range killer as chances are the people who buy this are in the market to buy a mid-range device but end up buying this instead because it's an excellent value. People with the cash will still opt for the flagships (ie. Note 3) over this, just like the Nexus phones.

What the hell?! This is a joke - isn't it? The OnePlus IS NOT the lightes 5.5''-smarthphone (have a look at Oppo Find 7 & 7a) and IT'S NOT smaller than a Sony Xperia Z/Z1!
