"They came up with itunes and the app store to make sure that services are convenient for iphone owners, and that users get HIGH QUALITY music and videos, and that artists and developers also get COMPENSATED for their services. Other phone makers do not care."

Bullshit, Sony has a very similar system right now.

Personaly I'm not an Apple Iphone fan. I work at a phone shop and I must admit it's an excellent device. But I use the bluetooth alot and I always hated Apple.
But to say the phone is crap because of the 2MP camera? The camera is not that crappy at all. Like the samsung innov8 has an 8 MP camera and it's crappier than the Iphone camera =']
For camera's I stick to my digi cam or a sony device.

After two years from its release the iPhone still rules the Smart phone market! No other phone can come even near to it! So called “iPhone killers” come and go but so far they have all failed.

Thanks to Apple for the iPhone we now know what can be achieved and we see how pathetical are all the lagging Nokia and Samsung phones out there.

Fred, 25 Mar 2009If it looks like girls phone, if it acts like a girls phone... moreWhat looks, acts, scrolling behavior, software and accessories make a iphone a phone for girls? Can you be more specific. Because right now you sound really silly, lol.

I see a lot of grown man walking around with their iphones, and it's not sad at all. You think it's sad because you hate the iphone, now that is sad, lol. You talk nonsense, so who cares of your preferences? lol.

How did you come up with the 99% figure of iphone users being girls ages 12-23? Can you share with us the article? LOL. There's none.

You said that your land is a Nokia and Samsung land that likes resistive touch screens. Omnia HD is coming up w/ a capacitive touch screen. That's a Samsung phone right? What do you think about that treason? lol. You also said you only use devices that can be operated with one hand. Can you demonstrate that please with the N97? Actually, resistive touch screen responds better with a stylus AND manicured long nails, hahahaha. I guess N97 is a chick's phone after all. So are you growing your nails just in time for the N97's release? hahahahaha

Anonymous, 25 Mar 2009I do care!!! I used to think like U until i bougth my first... moreI used to have the N95 before my iphone. And pictures looked great on its 2.8 screen, but when it was time to upload it to my PC, I regretted that I didn't use my digital camera on that trip. Same with the videos I took. Photos taken from my iphone under good lighting conditions also looked good, even when uploaded to Facebook, but the ones taken from my Canon of course looks way better, so why am I going to use a cell phone to take photos that I need to upload to Facebook? Does not make sense, unless you cannot afford a digital camera, then I guess I would understand your pathetic situation, lol. And please, I used to have the N95, and it does not take good pics in dark conditions either, so stop it already. Try using Canon SD camera at the club and let's see which photos your friends like better =) My friends always ask me to email them pictures I took from my Canon camera for they all didn't get clear copies from pictures they took from their camera phones =)

Bottom line is. If photo and video quality is such a big deal for you, get a digital camera for Pete's sake, and don't rely on camera phones, lol. It's stupid to care so much for photos and videos and then just settle for camera phones, lol.

Anonymous, 25 Mar 2009Stop talking out of your backside. Stop making excuses f... moreStop your silliness and jealousy.

I'm not making excuses for Apple, just stating some reasonable opinions. Iphone's camera is decent for its purpose. If you want great quality photos, use a digital camera, not a phone. If you do not carry a digital camera with you, that would only mean that you do not aim for great quality pictures. But hey, that is you, so I don't care, but you also need to respect iphone users and those others who still prefer using digital cameras to take photos. At the end of the day, when it comes to upload or print those photos, or upload a video to YouTube, it pays off that we used our digital cameras. But for quick snapshots that I only intend to keep on my phone, the iphone is good enough =)

Fred, 25 Mar 2009If it looks like girls phone, if it acts like a girls phone... moreI use my iPhone one handed because I have big manly hands.

Girls use the E71 with it's dainty wrist strap and lovely little purse, like the 6600 purses.

Now turning to another issue, Nokia sold 470 million phone's last year, assuming 20% of the population is gay that means almost 100million gay people bought Nokia's.

You are probably one of them.

If it looks like girls phone, if it acts like a girls phone, if it finger scrolls like girls phone, if it has software features fit for a teenage girl and if it has massive amount of girlie accessories available, then it's a phone for girls.
How can grown men walk around with the same phone as giggling 13 year old girls? That's just so sad.

I would prefer that u guys stick to the old iPhone if u have to be a woman against all odds.

You rarely see guys in Britain with iPhone 3G, and if u do, they are 14 years old kids. 98-99% av the iPhone 3G users in Britain are girls between ages 12-23.

This is Nokia and Samsung land, we like resistive touchscreen cause it gives a steardier and robust feeling when using a touch devices with one hand, we don't hold the phone in one hand and finger-scroll with the other finger like newly manicured girls.

Stop making excuses for Apple. I own an iPhone, Nokia NB2 and a Samsung i8510 (INNOV8) and the iPhone camera really sucks. I do not carry a seperate digital camera and most people I know don't either because the good camera phones can take brilliant pictures fit for day to day purposes. Who wants to lump a digital SLR or campact with you all the time.

I own a DLSR so I know these take much better pics but from day to day use I don't need the best pic I can achieve, a good camera phone is enough.

I have no loyalty to any company. I'm not a sheep or a tard so stop being one.

Some people would ask, "why 2mp only?". Because 2mp is enough when taking pictures INTENDED to be saved in your phone. There is no camera phone, even the ones with 8mp, that can produce photos like digital cameras can, because they cannot squeeze in all the processing powers of digital cameras into a tiny phone, if they try, it would be quite a thick and bulky phone and that is not what the built concept of the iphone is. As soon as Apple figures out a way to harness all the processing powers of a digital camera into the thin body of the iphone, then it would make sense for them to produce an iphone with a 12mp camera that can replace your standalone digital camera. Other phonemakers just throw in megapixels w/out putting in enough photo processing softwares to match its megapixels. That is the reason why you see picky people with N95's and Omnias still carrying digital cameras, because they wouldn't settle for camera phone quality photos, and they end up using their N95's and Omnias cameras in taking random pics just for fun, which kinda puts the high megapixels to waste, because really, 2 or 3mp is enough for random fun photos. I know, because I used to have the N95 before I had my iphone =)

Something that people need to know and realize about Apple is that they're very picky when it comes to quality and performance. Apple does not care about putting in a lot of impressive features just because they can (this is what Nokia, HTC, SE and Samsung does). Other phone makers put so much features on their phones so that the spec sheet of their devices would look very impressive even when it compromises performance and quality (who suffers? the users). Apple considers a lot of things and sets a high standard before putting in a feature on their iphone. Even features that seem to be simple and basic. Apple also considers warranties and protection and due compensation. Hence, Apple is very strict in locking their phones to PROTECT both their official carrier and also the owners. They came up with itunes and the app store to make sure that services are convenient for iphone owners, and that users get HIGH QUALITY music and videos, and that artists and developers also get COMPENSATED for their services. Other phone makers do not care. All they want to do is sell their phones and you're pretty much left on your own, and they're off to producing another phone in a couple of months w/out bothering to improve the performance of their existing phones, lol (1st gen iphone still takes advantage of most, if not all, firmware updates). Apple would rather put in a few high quality features on the iphone and provide an awesome UI and user experience, than pack it with tons of impressive features that compromises performance and quality. That is what makes the iphone stand out among the rest.
