owww its another fone that will surely take all competion to shame because of its good performance at the beginning and then will just breakdown and will then just be a waste of money just like my K850i. please dont waste your money buying SE.

Hello there
I am a prof. Analyst in the cell-phone market and I do researches for several well renowned technology-papers and economic papers. My analyst predict that Idou will fail miserably because it will be released in 2012 and hence therefore the whole cell phone will be outdated the time it will hit the market.
Belive me, I am a senior Analyst and hardcore IPhone fan.

I don't know about this one. SE usually releases products very late that by the time it gets released, there are already tons of other phones that are better. Remember that phone xperia?

Symbian does not have menu flick scroll making it very very anoying, unless nokia fixes this i will never buy a symbian touchscreen.

If you take a 12mp picture, and scale it to match the size of a 2mp, You'll end up with a super high quality 2mp picture. Where the 2mp is still compressed.
Not as effective as getting a better lens, but Megapixels is still the threshold, and measuring unit for camera quality for the average joe.

Got me fooled. I was expecting shots made by Idou itself.
Shots of Idou are as boring as any reference platform with deactivated camera. Design is a nice feature as long as the device works (5 screens? wow, totally awesome), makes 12mp pics that look like 12mp pics (not 3mp pics), or costs $20.
PS: what the hell has happened to GSM arena? You guys died out or what? Took you, what, a month after MWC 09 to post a new material? Come on! I know you can do better than that! And I like your reviews since you always do the SAME thing for all phones, like taking pictures from the same spot. Makes it easier to know what you're actually looking at.

simple word.... 8MP camera can take batter picture than 12MP camera phone...for a phone... 5MP is more then enough actually... unless u said "I wanna view da photo from phone with 65" LCD~"

This device promises to be a good showcase of technology. However the company must not rely on solely on the market success of this product. It must also focus attention on its whole portfolio including strengthening its mid range and internally debating the wisdom of even having a presence in the bargain bucket end of the market which does little favour to its brand. Senior executives at both parent companies should stop arguing to satisfy analysts and support research and development. This device shows what the company is capable of.

What about the Li-Po battery, these days top notch phones runs out of battery quite fast. They should think about it, instead on increasing MPs of camera phones.

I do not get it. This phone is overhyped. Other than the fact that it is running on Symbian, there is nothing overly special about it. Yes the phone could be quite a shooter with that kind of camera onboard but really..it is overhyped. And good thing it is quite a shooter, because it is not much of a looker.
