Samsung announces the Galaxy K zoom camera phone

The Galaxy K zoom has a 20 megapixel sensor with 10x optical zoom, OIS and xenon flash.

I am impressed by the sample shots on flickr, the low light shots are particularly impressive at full res. They have got something here that can seriously give Nokia 1020 a run for it's money. The camera is miles better than what the S4 zoom was. You guys should have a look.

Just search for Galaxy K Zoom on flickr and check out all the full resolution pictures. Downscaled they all obviously look damn good but we must pixel peep to know the full story.

    now, nokia try calling out a camera duel on this. with a sony sensor, you're awful looking pureviews are effed up.

      They're trying too to beat nokia's camera phone.. well lets see what it can do.

        Fugly...unless they price it at$300-350 its a lost cause

          haha. samsung had to go back to sony's sensor instead of relying on their ISOCELL. guess this is an acknowledgment of sony's superior sensor.

            Some proper samples will determine how well they are actually using that sensor. could it be a Sony sensor and not the ISOCELL? Then there is some hope.
