Nokia X series is already in market. If nokia does not provide here services, someone will sooner or later port it….
Also, nokia's phone is now with microsoft. They are trying to generate revenue from their navigation services. Trying to have a vast subscriber base is an intelligent way to ensure more advertisements.

Pity. I rather liked the idea that they were a WP exclusive.

The best maps service, very good quality apps, at least on WP8. Nokia is doing a good thing to release their services to iOS and Android.

nokia knows Android is so Similar to Symbian an they have always been the Best for Creating Software,Just wish Nokia had Android phones on the Market,as Windows was not Right for Them, but when your Struggling an investment offered you are Definetly going to Accept It,an when you have a Person in Charged who worked for that Company, they you are easily being told to accept it,Microsoft an Elop was not right for Nokia

Very good move by Nokia saying this as a Nokia fan. But I completely hate the android and ios platform.

Windowsphone is still a satisfactory colourful platform of my choice.

Looks fine, this will shake paid navigation soft devs, which offers cached maps (offline)
