I dont know its fair or not but if you compare with all the flagships Z2, HTC One, P6, Find7, G2, X, OnePlus One and Nexus 5, I feel Galaxy S5 is ugliest among all.

He actually promoted. Now he will be head of the Design Strategy Team. Expect designs be UGLIER than EVER ! Even worse designs are coming....

Samsung, Please introduce good-looking phones. I love both the GS4 and Note 3. But the design of GS5 is very bad. If Samsung does not bring a premium quality phone, it may lose its leading position.
Look forward to seeing improvements in the design

No, the S5 design is ok and presentable, the problem is that samsung has released so many many phones ( just to let them all obsolete in a few months and with the same tired brick-and-home button design) but the S5 has to be indeed a true representative of that exhausted design, but still they all look the same, shame...

You should learn some relative info that validates your posting here.
It has some roundness to the edges. However the size and material still set it ahead in that fashion.
It might not be miles ahead anymore because even the lowest companies can obtain the same hardware...However it's still ahead. Especially display and as a whole package.
All I read was blah blah ego blah blah purposeful self implementation of your words to make up illogical crap ego ego blah blah.
Even news like that this does not say that.

Most companies are only just establishing a distinguished line.
Sony uses the same design.
HTC still uses their design and only revamped it for the One. Which is a line that just started last year.
LG is just using Samsung. Especially Touchwiz
An newer revamp would be nice however.

Take a look at the HTC Butterfly S or the LG G2 - there's no reason for a phone to be an uninteresting rectangular brick. The front and back can be tapered to the side to give a rounded look and in my opinion, more comfortable to hold in your hand.
The Apple iphone and Samsung Galaxy phones are old and tired. Most other manufacturers have moved forward and no longer use the old mechanical home button. It's long past due for them to do the same.
How about trying some of the new ultra-strong, ultra-lightweight materials for the back and moving away from the same old plastic and metal designs?

Aluminum and glass or no less cheap recyclable material. As well as less durable, less practical, heavier, larger, less comfortable/ergonomic, and so on.
Enjoy those metal dents and scratches? Use it as a griddle yet?
And it's funny that even Samsung metal phones still had removable battery and sd slot. Yet ssome manufacturers even take that away with plastic...
Samsung makes stuff that works and is more practical and puts ok focus on looks. Not bad focus.
Everyone else puts more focus on "oooh shiny" before the tech.
