The math of Dr. dre dose not add up. then again my math come be off to, I'm 59y/o. So please help me understand the deal between the Dr. and Apple. I may have read it wrong. Hear what went pass my ear. The Dr. was making 1billion a year off his Beat earphones, now Apple comes and buy it for 3.5 billion. Now if Dr. would have kept it for 5 or 10 year he would have kept it for those year then he would problem have made $10billion, so why sell? Someone help my with my math.

Either apple and Beats = OVER PRICE PRODUCTS! I rather spent the same amount of money to get Hi-Fi with BOSE instead

Their sound is not balanced, they favor a frequency over the other which is bad in my opinion.
I'm currently using Pioneer SE-CL07 in-ears for my JB phone, which sounds very balanced

Samsung has done this before with Sharp with it's TV business. Samsung violated Sharp's patents, Sharp had sued Sammy, and then Sammy did the same damn thing it's doing to Apple. (delaying, appealing, and countersuing.)
Also, If HTC was violating Apple's patents, then Apple would have been suing HTC along with Samsung. (Or, as I call them, Scamsung)

Having a kind of hip edge doesnt hurt either, helping to reach a younger audience.
It's not all tangibles only, there are intangible aspects that make a business successful.

They did it because they want to revive their lead in digital music. Don't fanboy out for Android and hate on Apple, look at it from a macro economics perspective, makes you look far less ignorant.

The only difference in making a smartphone better..is...adding more speakers.LG G3 has a 1 watt speaker.So in other words,Apple can put 2 speakers on the Iphone.Nooo....They go out and talk to a bunch of wanna-be's instead of doing research for the best of whatever it is....Sennheiser has been around for 65 years.The Rest ? Copy cats.Wanna-be's. Apple will go down with the ship.

Hope apple ressurects n make Beats much better. In my view, BeatsAudio has a very poor sound quality. listening to music thru my sennheiser in-ear earphones is better than thru beats audio headphones. Maybe the only time i've enjoyed beats audio is thru my hp envy notebook.
